Life is an alphabet
Waiting to be learnt
Aware of its existence
Wanting to be heard
Don't hold it to account
Wait for its word
Remember in the beginning
It will be blurred
Let it climb out
naturally, let it crawl
Watch it tumble
and look at it fall
Keep it close
in your heart
Be the thread that
connects each part
Move through the letters
of ages gone
Grow up and out
become the swan
As the time slows,
Listen carefully,
as words move,
across
pages
unfairly
Breathe each
treasured letter in
Give them your soul
and let
new life begin
