It amazes me everyday
how you can take a word
and help it find its way
You weave it into the page
You see it breathe and grow
You watch it mature with age
Your heart leads you
on a journey like no other
Only your eyes can see it through
Oh, how you take a couple lines
and mix in some emotion
to create new and unknown rhymes
You move entire lives
forward and backwards
to present gorgeous lines
Your eyes wonder the page
like looking out to an
audience from the stage
Your hand glides across
a smooth, rough surface
of this collection, you're the boss
One bad comment
against a thousand smiles
doesn't diminish the work of a convent
Write your dreams
forever
please
Make mistakes
Do a hundred retakes
Share with family, anxiously
Share with friends, hopefully
Share with strangers, excitedly
Never stop believing you can
Everyone awaits the arrival
of your untold plan
