My favorite glasses gays are back! Fluff prompt #12: "Stargazing was a good idea." Requested by CoffeeFlavoredTears so thanks!

Patton was starting to get suspicious of his new roommate. Of course, he was very careful in choosing Logan Knowles to move in with him. Everything seemed perfect! He was clean, courteous, and it didn't hurt he was fine as hell. But in the evenings, it was always strangely quiet from his room and he was exhausted in the mornings. Something told Patton he wasn't always at home and how easy would it be for him to sneak out? His window was next to the fire escape! It wasn't Patton's business really, but why wouldn't he use the front door? Maybe, just maybe, there was something shady going on.

"Patton, you're putting too much thought into this." Roman laid across the couch with his head in Virgil's lap. Virgil played with his hair as he talked. "Just ask him where he's going."

"But that's the thing, I don't know if he's really going anywhere! What if I'm just a weirdo and he's like an... insomniac or something?" Patton flopped onto a chair. "Then he'll move out and I'll never see him again."

"Oh yeah, I forgot you have like a massive crush on this guy. Which is rude because we haven't even met him and we didn't approve of Logan." Virgil rolled his eyes. Patton was about to counter when the apartment door unlocked.

Logan stepped through the door, holding a small black plastic bag. He paused upon seeing the three gathered in the living room. He discreetly moved the bag behind his back and adjusted his navy blue tie with his other hand. "Hello."

"Hi, Logan. Sorry, I thought I would invite over some friends of mine." Patton waved and pointed at his two friends on the couch. "This is Roman and Virgil."

"Greetings." He stood there awkwardly for a moment before shaking himself. "Well, you all have fun. I'll be in my room." he said and sidestepped into the room, careful to not show the bag.

Once he had closed the door, the three friends locked eyes. Patton sighed and gestured at the nerd's room. "Okay, but wasn't that kinda weird?"

"First of all, if I was into nerds, I would have asked him out 'cause damn, Patton, he's cute!" Virgil whispered back. Roman smacked his arm. "What? I said 'if'! I'm not, clearly, I'm dating you." Virgil kissed the top of Roman's forehead, which apparently settled him. "Second of all, yeah, that was suspicious."

"Thank you!" Patton sighed, feeling validated. "So what should I do?"

"Follow him out of the fire escape. It's a free country." Roman sat up and shrugged. "Maybe he's a drug dealer."

"He doesn't look like a drug dealer," Patton shook his head, then paused. "Right? He wears a tie. Drug dealers don't wear ties."

"Maybe he's buying drugs then." Virgil added.

"You guys are not helping me." Patton rolled his eyes then nodded. "Okay. We're going to figure this out."

Logan and Patton were both sitting in the shared living room for the evening. They were on opposite ends of the couch and watching Sherlock. Patton noted Logan's glances towards the windows every few seconds. At around 9:00,(much too early for any self-respecting adult to go to sleep, Patton thought) Logan excused himself and retreated into his room. Patton sneaked over to the living room window and watched Logan climb up the fire escape with a bag slung over his shoulder. Well. That certainly wasn't what he was expecting.

Patton waited about 2 minutes before venturing into Logan's room for the first time since he had moved it. As he expected, it was impeccably clean. The solar system bedspread and the NASA posters on the walls made Patton sense a theme. And just as he expected, the bedroom window was propped open with a copy of a Guinness World Records book. He not-so-gracefully clambered through the open window and looked up the fire escape. The cozy apartment was situated on the 3rd floor of the 10th story building. Patton sighed. Whatever Logan had in that bag must have been light because there was no way he could climb up that many stairs.
