I've been in a writing funk lately, so I kinda just did this to start up again. It's not requested but hopefully you still like it? It's heavily inspired after one of my favorite disney movie of all time, you'll probably get the reference.

It was a gorgeous day, the kind you only ever read about in books. A few clouds scuttled across the otherwise clear blue sky and the sun was out in full force. Birds were chirping and the whole city had an air of mysticality to it. It was the perfect day for some magic or the closest you could get to. It was Roman Windsor's kind of day, in short. The kind of day where he could spend hours outside, taking it all in. He stood in the center of his apartment and stared at his friend sitting in his window seat.

Logan Croft was also enjoying the weather, though perhaps not to the scale of Roman's ecstasy. This weather was the kind that made him wish to sit near the glass pane and feel the warmth run over his back while his fingers were curled over a book. But Roman wasn't having this kind of reclusive behavior.

"Alright, let's go!" Roman walked across the room and grabbed his spare set of keys.

"I'm sorry?" Logan asked as he slid his bookmark into his saved page.

"You are not staying inside, nerd. We're going to the park and we're going to actually enjoy this day outside!" Roman walked to the window and grabbed Logan's arm, pulling him to his feet.

Logan stared sadly at the abandoned book on the cushion. "Must we? They just rebuilt him as a Gold." The cover of Red Rising peered back at him.

"The book will be here when we get back." And that's how Roman walked down the streets with his unusual friend by his side on that perfect day.

A few blocks away, another man was shut up inside his home. Virgil Dante wasn't akin to this weather; it was just too bright. He didn't have to worry about it, though. He shut himself in his studio apartment and worked on his lyrics, scribbling on paper. He found he was too easily distracted by the internet. His fingers tapped against the desk as he hummed the melody to himself.

His twin brother and his polar opposite sat across the room, watching people pass below. Patton had long maintained Virgil was much too lonely and was in desperate need of someone other than himself. He needed someone to hold him close and give him affection. Virgil stubbornly resisted every attempt of a set-up Patton planned.

He was almost beginning to lose hope; he was resigned to the fate his 23-year-old brother and himself would die as bachelors. But as he watched the pathways, he spotted them.

A tall brunette in a striking blue tie combed his hair back as he walked. Patton smiled to himself. He was beautiful. He was walking with someone else, but the view was clearly platonic. Testing his luck, he looked to the companion. If only he could find someone for Virgil... well! This man was perfectly lovely too! His carefully combed hair and lazy smile looked friendly, and knowing what he did about his little brother, he was exactly his type.

He followed them to the other window. So, they were heading to the park. Patton looked over at his brother, who was clearly wrapped up in his work and sighed. Virgil's work ethic was admirable and he never stopped working before 5. It was only 4:15. This wouldn't do, they could be long gone by then! Patton's eyes darted towards Virgil's phone on the table in front of him and the wall clock in the corner. It wouldn't hurt... he would never find another pair like this, not if he looked for 101 years!

Patton stood up slowly and walked over to the wall, pocketing Virgil's phone as he did so. Double-checking that he wasn't paying attention, he slowly took down the clock and rewound the time so it appeared after 5, wincing at every noise it made. He rehung the clock and sat back on his seat. He waited a moment before speaking.
