Chapter 12

Jada had finally fallen asleep after the long events that had occurred today. Now it was time for me to go solve the problem for her, since she didn't wanna let me fix it in the first place.

It was simple to sneak out of the house, because everyone else was out, so I grabbed my keys and went to my car.

I tracked Hunter down by going through Jada's phone and finding his social media page. His dumbass actually had is location on, so it wasn't difficult to find him. Turns out he stayed on campus in the frat house. How typical.

I texted him and told him to meet outside. He would be expecting Jada, but he was in for a rude awakening. I was gonna get to the bottom of this situation one way or another.

I pulled up and parked my car. I waited in the square for about ten minutes, and then he decided to show up.

"I kinda had a feeling you would be here." Hunter said while walking up to my car. "There's no need to try an make small talk. I'm only here to ask questions so you can cut the crap." I said.

"What do you want to know?" He asked. "I wanna know how you know my girlfriend and why you decided to all of a sudden pop up into her life. She obviously doesn't want anything to do with you, so why are you here?" I asked.

"It's simple really, I'm the love of her life. She may not know it yet but, she'll figure it out sooner or later. I'll just have to stick around until she realizes it." Hunter said.

I laughed in a sarcastic tone. This dude must be mental cause ain't no way he thinks Jada is the love of his life. They aren't even together.

"Dude I think you're confused because Jada and I are dating, so I don't really see how she could be the love of your life." I said. "Then I'll just have to make her see. If I get you out of the picture, then it won't be a problem." He replied.

What did he mean by get me out of the picture? Was he gonna have breakup with me or something, cause I highly doubt that could happen.

"What are you gonna do man? Cause if you wanna fight, we can handle this right now." I said. "I'm not gonna fight you, I'm gonna do way worse than that." He said.

Before I knew what was happening, Hunter pulled out a pocketknife and ran straight towards me.

I woke up at 3 a.m. and my phone was blowing up. I had 4 missed calls from the boys and 3 from Maggie. I had a ton of unread messages, but the first one I saw put me in shock. It was from Zion.

Yo! You need to get to the hospital ASAP!!! Nick is in urgent care and he's not looking too good.

What the hell was going on. I fell asleep in bed with nick last night, so what could've happened in the last few hours that would have put him in the hospital.

Wait.... I knew exactly who could've done this. It was definitely Hunter, but knowing that he did it only made my heart pound faster.

I texted Zion back and asked him to send me the address for the hospital and I grabbed my keys and left.

The only thing I could think about the whole drive there was if Nick was okay. If I lost him, I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

This was all my fault. If I hadn't gotten involved with Hunter, then this whole situation could've been avoided.

As soon as I got to the hospital, I went to the front desk and spoke to the nurse.
"Excuse me I need to know what room Nick Mara is in." I said urgently.

"Are you a family member?" She asked. "No! I'm his girlfriend. Can you please just tell me where his room is." I said. "I'm sorry but only family members are allowed to see him at this time. He will be going into surgery any minute now." She said.

I instantly started panicking. I had no idea where everyone else was, and they wouldn't let me see Nick. I went into a full blown panic attack. It felt like the room was collapsing in on me, and I was getting nauseous and dizzy.

One the nurses ran to assist me, and called a doctor. "Ma'am are you okay? The doctor is on his way and he's gonna do a full check up on you to make sure you're okay." She said.

I was about to refuse but Maggie and everyone else came running into the waiting room and saw me.

"You should let them do a check up. You don't look too good Jada." Maggie said. "Yeah, you should let them see if anything is wrong and get you some rest." Edwin added.

"We'll be right here when you come back. We aren't going anywhere." Brandon said.

I nodded my head and let the nurse walk me to a room. It seemed like this day wasn't getting any better.
