Chapter 4

I woke up the next morning with a minor hangover, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle. I decided to head to the gym because this body doesn't make itself. Everyone else was still asleep except for Jada because she was downstairs getting a glass of water.

"Hey." I said while walking in the kitchen. "What's up." I replied. "Nothing much. Last night was fun." She said. "Yeah it's like that all the time around here." I replied. "Must be nice." She said. "Well, you live here now so you'll be able to see it all go down." I said. "Yeah right! My ass is gonna be upstairs in my room with my nose in a bunch of homework." She said. "Well nobody told your ass to go to college." I said. "Well everybody can't sing and dance like Mr. Mara." She said sarcastically.

"Where are you going anyway?" She asked. "I'm on my way to the gym. Why? Do you wanna come?" I asked. "Sure I guess." She said. "This body doesn't make itself." She added. "Yeah cause you're little ass sure knows how to eat." I said. "Whatever. Imma go change and then we can go." She said.

Jada ran upstairs to change and came back down in the most revealing athletic clothes that I'd ever seen.

Jada's Outfit

"Damn." I said while biting my lip and looking her up and down. "What?" She asked. "So you going to the gym like that?" I asked. "Yeah what's wrong with it? I wanna show off my belly button ring. I got it after you left." She said. "Yeah well that belly button ring ain't the only thing you showing off." I said. "Whatever lets just go." She said.

"Umm who said I was letting you go anywhere looking like that?" I asked. "Your not my dad Nick." She said. "Well I'm in charge of you while you're here, and I said you're not going out like that." I said. "I can walk out this door right now and you're not gonna do anything to stop me." She said. "Says who? You can try it if you want to." I said.

"You won't do shit! Pussy!" Jada said while smirking and opening the door.

Oh since she wanna play like that then she can see what's gonna happen.

All of a sudden the door closed and I got snatched back inside. Nick threw me over his back and walked me back inside. "Put me down you Dickhead!" I yelled. "No! This is your fault, you wanted to test me so this is what happens." He said.

I tried to jump down but he was holding me too tight. Before I knew what was going on, Nick threw me on the sofa and started tickling me. "No...stop!" I said while laughing uncontrollably. He knew that I was extremely ticklish. "I'll stop if you admit that I'm the boss and you say you're sorry." He said. "Why should I apologize when I did nothing wrong." I said. "Because I told you not to wear it and you did it anyway." He said. "Well you act like you're my boyfriend or something." I said.

We both paused after I said that. Then I realized that Nick was on top of me and we were extremely close. Neither of us moved. I could feel every time he took a breath. "Umm." I said. "Do you want me to move?" He asked. "No.... this is just different." I said. "Yeah." He added.

He gradually moved closer and I could feel the tension easing away. He was so close to kissing me that not even a piece of paper could fit between us. "Are you gonna kiss me?" I asked. "Only if you want me to." He said.

I definitely wanted him to but, I couldn't let him. It would ruin our friendship, and I couldn't let that happen. I quickly squirmed from under him and ran upstairs into our room. I couldn't talk to him about it right now, and I definitely couldn't face anyone else right now either.

Just based on what I was feeling like, I knew that my face was red as hell and I was out of breathe. While I was pacing back and fourth, I heard a knock on the door. "Hey Jada can I come in." Nick asked at the door. "Not right now." I said. "Look don't make things awkward. We still share a room, and you're still my best friend." He said.

I decided to unlock the door and let him in because I was acting stupid. I was just a dumb kiss right. "I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting that." I said. "It's cool. You're not ready for that and I understand but, just so you know, I don't regret almost kissing you." He said.

"You know that can't happen Nick. You're my best friend and nothing more." I said. "Yeah...Right." He said and left.

I think I just made the worst mistake ever.

I guess I know what if feels like to be hurt.
