Him & I - Nick Mara

Chapter 2

I woke up to Zion shaking me awake. "Nick get up man! Your alarm went off like an hour ago." He said. "Damn it!" I said and got up quickly. I threw on some sweat pants and a hat and grabbed my car keys. I completely forgot that I had to go pick up Jada from the airport today.

Everyone was downstairs eating breakfast and watching tv. "Where you rushing off to Nick?" Austin asked. "I gotta go get Jada from the airport. She got accepted to UCLA so she's moving up here to stay with us while she goes to school." I said. "And I don't have time for chit chat because..." I looked at my watch. "I was supposed to leave an hour ago." I said and walked out the door.

I got in the car and called Jada. She was gonna be pissed that I was late. I don't know why the hell they waited so long to wake me up. I must've been tired as hell to sleep through my alarm.

I pulled up to the pick up area and honked the horn. Jada was already outside waiting by the curb, and she looked pissed. I got out and helped her with her luggage and held her door open for her. "Look I know you're mad but I promise it was an accident. I slept through my alarm and the boys woke me up and hour later, so I got here as soon as I could." I said in a rant.

"It's fine Nick. I'm just glad to see you." She said and hugged me. "Wow you're being unusually nice today." I said. "Yeah, I was only waiting for a few minutes because my flight was delayed anyway. I just didn't tell you that because I had a feeling you were gonna be late, which would turn out being on time." She said.

"Plus we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place if you would've just let me call an Uber to pick me up from the airport." She added. "Whatever just get in the car." I said, and we drove back to the house.

After getting all of Jada's luggage out of the car and bringing it upstairs, I introduced her to everyone. "Guys this is Jada, my best friend." I said. She smiled and waved at everyone. "Jada this is Zion, Austin, Brandon, and Edwin. They're in the band with me." I said. "Nice to meet you guys in person." She replied.

"Yeah, we can finally see that you're real, and not a figment of Nick's imagination." Edwin said. "Lol. All of Nick's friends tend to think that my Instagram page is fake or something, but trust me I'm real." I said. "Yeah and you're definitely out of Nick's league." Brandon said.

"Shut up man." I said. "Well it is true. I'm fine as hell, and you're just you." Jada said while laughing at me. "Whatever. You won't be saying that when you asked to move in with me." Nick said. "We're getting ready to go out with the girls tonight. Your welcome to come if you want too." Austin said. "Yeah I'd love to! I just need to shower and unpack and stuff." Jada said.

"That's fine. We'll be waiting a while for them to get here anyway because they take forever to get ready." Brandon said. "I know right. They act like they got somebody to impress or some shit." Zion said. "Probably y'all dumbasses." I said. "Okay well I'm gonna go get ready while you guys have your little girl talk." Jada said laughing.
