Sneaking into Rosa's place wasn't as hard as you thought it might be, even with a key you presumed she would have something to stop intruders. You crept through the hallway as her delicate snoring reverberated through the apartment's walls and headed towards the kitchen to execute your festive plan.

Throughout the past few days you had spent together you had managed to sneak all of the required reagents into her cupboards; sugar, flour and everything else required to fill Rosa with the festive spirit that she lacked so much. Throughout the night you managed to bake a tantalizing plate of gingerbread men and peppermint cookies that couldn't possibly fail.

You set your alarm for an hour before Rosa was due to wake up and made a cozy nap space on the sofa to spend the night.

Rays of winter sun bombarded you through the blinds as your phone violently woke you up, for a few moments you were a bit disorientated before you realised where you were. You turned it off but you could already here Rosa shuffling through the halls, something had awoken her earlier than expected.

"I thought you were an intruder!" Rosa stood in the doorway, a machete clutched in her hands and her hair a disgruntled nest. "What are you doing here?!"

"Surprise!" You stood up from your bed and rubbed your freshly sore back.

"You can't just let yourself in you know, I don't mind you sleeping her... obviously but at least let me know." She rested the weapon on the counter and turned her nose up to the still heavily fragranced air. "And why does it smell like Santa threw up in here? Tell me what's going on before I bust your ass for breaking and entering."

"I just baked you some cookies, come on over, try one." You presented her the plate which was met with suspect eyes.

"Why couldn't you make it at your house and just bring them over?" She edged towards you with her arms crossed tightly over her chest.

"Don't be mad. I just thought you could use a little Christmas cheer, you never get into the spirit. You wont even let me decorate your apartment."

"Maybe I just don't want my place covered in a load of gaudy tat that will be boxed back up in a few weeks, I don't see the point." Her hand reached over to the plate as she spoke but you pulled the treats away much to her dismay. "So you came all the way here, baked cookies and slept on my sofa just to not let me have them?"

"You will be allowed them once you let me decorate. I'll do everything, you can help but you just cant get in my way."

"I get to take them down the moment Christmas ends." Her eyes danced between yours and the plate of cookies. "Deal?"

"Deal."
