You and Jake were on a stakeout to see a major player in the local drug ring at a drop off point. The two of you started off in your car but it was a busy area and it was too hard to see what was going on, so decided it was best to go via foot.

Seeing the suspect, you decided to follow behind them, attempting to be mixed in with the crowd but when he turned down an empty alleyway, it wasn't exactly viable to follow without giving away the fact you were both detectives. You paused by the entrance, watching the man's movements however it was far too obvious with the two of you stood at the foot of the alley focused on him.

As he turned around, you felt truly screwed. If he saw the two of you just stood there, he'd flee the scene and chances are the two of you couldn't catch him as many had tried and failed. You didn't know what to do but it seemed that Jake did. He grabbed hold of your waist, pulling you towards him, pressing his lips to yours. In any other situation, you may have enjoyed the kiss but having been caught off guard, you froze and didn't reciprocate the kiss.

Glancing to the side, you saw the man turn back around and continue with what he was doing. Jake must have noticed the action as well as he let go of you, removing his lips from yours.

You weren't sure what had really happened, and you doubted that you would be able to play it cool and either ignore what had happened or say something suave. This was proven true when you began to speak without thinking through your words.

"Did you just kiss me?" You said, with an almost offended tone.

He seemed worried by your tone, scared that he had crossed the line, which he kind of had but you couldn't blame him for that at the moment.

"I'm sorry," he said softly. "I don't know what I was thinking."

You did your best to calm down, giving him a gentle reassuring smile. It did shock you, but you couldn't lie and say you hadn't been interested in Jake, it just surprised you that he kissed you then.

"It's okay Jake," you smiled softly. "It was a desperate situation. Maybe we could go for a drink tonight and talk about it?"

"Like a date?" He asked, a glint in his eyes.

"Maybe," you whispered, hoping he would agree.

With a grin on his face he just said one single word.

"Noice."
