HOODIE GIRL

Chapter 3

"You mean my hood"I asked the six year old girl in front of me.

"Yeah"she said.I looked at her from under my hood.

    This little girl is telling me to get rid of my biggest insecurity I have. There are a billion reasons why I can't take off my hoodie except with people I'm comfortable with,and I'm only comfortable with limited people and I'm not comfortable enough to just pull off my hoodie because a sweet girl with a cute puppy is asking me to do so. One of the reasons I wear my hoodie everywhere is because I'm ugly cause I have a lotof scars and tattoos even piercings.

"Em, I don't think Ashley will do that "Eric said.

"Why?"the little girl asked.
"And you are not allowed to call me Em well not yet, only my best friends can call me that"she said .

She sounds like a sixteen year old girl when she talks. I silently walk into the kitchen, picking out ingredients for chocolate chip cookies.Emily is making me think of the past I want to forget so bad with just a simple question. I mix the dough and focus on making the cookies instead of the emotions Emily is pulling out of me.

I can't wait for Lily's to open again so I can have my job back and stop babysitting and return to serving kind people and deliquents,i thought and smiled, even though I am usually not happy Esmeralda's Joy when she's cooking and Eric and Max arguing all the time makes up for the family I never had. I need to escape,I thought putting the cookies in the oven and wiping my hands.

Pulling my hoodie closer to my face I went back to the living room,where Eric and Emily were laughing at something. Eric looks at me and I nodded indicating that I'm fine.

It's been two hours since we started babysitting Emily and cuddles is sleeping on the couch,while we tried to do some yoga,key word tried,well Emily and I were actually doing a great job but Eric just looked like a fish out of water.

Emily and I are actually laughing at him and he looked offended.

"Sorry,you just look so adorable"I said smiling.

The doorbell rang.

"I'll get it"Eric quickly said as an excuse to get out of doing yoga.

Emily and I laughed and sat on the couch waiting for whoever was at the door, while watching SpongeBob. I just love SpongeBob even though he's stupid and I love seeing plankton and squidward getting hurt.

"Emily,it's for you"Emily and I turned and saw the devils. Emily ran into Evelyn's arms and Evelyn kissed the top of her head

"Did you enjoy your day?"she asked.

"Yes"she answered quickly,"Eric looks like a fish without water when he's doing yoga"Emily said and laughed when Eric turned red because his crush was right there.

"I do not!"Eric quickly defended himself making Emily laugh harder.

"Bye Ash"Emily said and they are about to leave when someone started banging on the door hard.

"Who the fuck is that?"Eric asked.

"Max"I said.Max,the second most important person in my life. He never uses the doorbell.We've been friends since forever and we are part of the Cobra gang. I'll have to come back to that, however he's fun but a pain in my ass most times, maybe even now.

"Come in"Eric screamed,his voice almost making all of us deaf.

Max barged in panting.

"Hoss,hoss I have bad news,Oh God"he said resting his hands on his knees, though breathless he looked disturbed. What the hell happened?

"We'll get going"Evelyn said as they all left except Wesley,he stayed rooted to the spot.

"What's wrong?"I asked wondering what could make Max this stressed out. Maybe someone asked him out. No, he'd never run all the way here because of that, it had to be something important.

He leaned in and said"The scorpions got your mom"

Blood rushed into my head and my eyes almost fell out of my socket,I saw red. I am angry.

How the hell did the scorpions get my mum? How did they find her? How did they know she's a Cobra? Maybe the tattoo gave it away.

I can't think straight. I stood up and Max held me back.

"Hoss?"he asked and I glared at him.Eric must have heard cause he had a worried look on his face.

"I have your payment"I heard the low voice of Wesley say,I ignored it.

Cobra's and scorpions have been mortal enemies for as long as I can remember. They are the two top gangster group  in this town and also the most crazy and dangerous. They would kill each other on the spot if they found each other,and my mom who is a Cobra is captured by the scorpions. Even the police is scared of them. I myself am about to be voted in as the next leader, though it would be hard since people like Max whose code name is Greg and others like zombie and Rufus hates taking orders from women and that's why Max calls me hoss instead of boss but I have a potential to win since my dad was the last leader and I already have the leadership mark, meaning a huge Cobra tattooed from the top of my back to my waist including the membership mark of a Cobra on my neck and my left arm.

"Hoss"I heard Max call again. I shoved him hard making him fly into the wall. Eric's eyes grew in disbelief.

"Ashley"he called softly. I raised my hand, I have been trained since I was five and Eric's not a Cobra so I wouldn't want to hurt him like Max.

"Stop her"Max said but it was useless,Eric already saw my sign and I I want to kill someone tonight.
