Chapter 4

I saw red,I wanted to stab something really hard. I walked towards the front door when firm strong arms wrapped around my waist. Who the hell is that? Does the person want to die? 

"Ashley"a strong low voice said. Why is this person stopping me? And why do I want to stop for this person? I tried to struggle out of the person's strong grab but I heard that low voice again.

"Calm down"I heard again. My visio) l) kn blurred and I could see clearly again. Who the hell is this? I looked around and saw Eric shaking,his eyes wide open. Was I that scary? Did I scare Eric and everyone that much? I looked up and saw Wesley holding me. I was stopped by Wesley? Why did his voice calm me. I lowered my gaze and saw Max groaning on the ground and a table was broken obviously by his body. I tried to free myself from Wesley but he held tighter.

"Ashley"he whispered.

"I'm fine,let me go"I said lowly getting my senses back. He hesitated then let me go. I ran towards Max and lifted him off the ground hugging him. He  placed his head at the crook of my neck,inside my hoodie so his head was on my bare skin.

"I'm sorry"I whispered softly stoking his hair. Eric came towards us and hugged me from behind,I turned and didn't see Wesley,I guess he left.

"Don't ever scare me like that ever again"Eric said hugging me tighter. He let go and I lifted Max. He rested his weight on me and I took him to my room and Eric followed.

"Do you want me to stay?"Eric asked.

"No,no need for you to worry about us        you can go"I said.

"Take care of yourselves"Eric said and kissed my head and rubbed Max's shoulder.

"Bye"he said and walked out. There was an awkward silence and I looked down at Max feeling sorry for pushing him away.

"I'm sorry"I said. He looked at me and opened his mouth to respond but I cut him off.

"I know what you're going to say but I'm sorry I know I'm an irresponsible boss and I don't have any self- control but I am just worried about my mom and what the scorpions are going to do to her. I mean, they have her and I don't know what they are doing to her right now or maybe she's dead"I said panicking.

"Ashley, zombie and the others have gone to get her and she's safe now and that's what I wanted to tell you before you flipped"he said. Did they really save mum? That's a relief.

I hugged him.i can't believe they actually saved my mom.

"Thank you so much Max,I love you so much"I said hugging him.

"I love you too Ash"he said. I know he meant it but I don't like Max like that.

"Thanks"I said.

"No problem hoss"he said smiling down at me.

   My alarm blared in my ear,I groaned and pressed the snooze button and turned burying my head in Max's chest. He slept over after the crazy thing that happened last night. My mom is back home but Chris aka dad isn't home yet. Max wrapped his arms around me and put his head on the crook of my neck snuggling me tighter.

"Hoss you gotta get to school"he whispered his voice husky. I sighed.

"Do I have to?"I asked, feeling sick and not wanting to go to school.

"Yeah"he said. I reluctantly stood up and went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and took a bath wearing my usual black sweatpants and hoodie. I grabbed my phone and backpack walking out with Max,he drove me to school and dropped me off.

"Thanks Max"I said and walked into the school. I went to my locker picking out my history book,the first lesson of the day is always the worst.

"Hey,how are you feeling this morning?"Eric asked. I smiled. He's still afraid since yesterday.

"I'm fine"I said lowly. He hugged me and whispered in my ear,

"Wesley Parker is right behind you"he whispered. My eyes widened on their own. Why is Wesley Parker behind me? What does he want from me? Is the whole gang behind me cause Eric sounds really terrified.

"Hey"I heard that low voice say. Oh my God I hate having attention on me. Everyone was staring at me,cause why not? I have a wall of hot popular guys and a beautiful senior behind me. Eric let me go and shoved me making me turn to that handsome face that had that stupid smirk on it,I frowned.

"Hi"he said again with his smirk growing bigger. Can that even happen? Well whatever let's hear what the jerk has to say. And surprisingly he's alone,he always moved with his group like they're werewolves.

"I want to talk to you alone"he said hinting that Eric should leave.

"Um___i have to um go do a project. I'll see you later Ash"he said and kissed the side of my head before running off. Of course, classic Eric, I wanted to scream at him. He just left me with the biggest jerk in school.of let's get this over with.

"What do you want?"I asked. He grinned. Does he know he's annoying? Maybe not

"To give you this"he said stretching out an envelope. I collected it and it contained the the payment for the babysitting I did yesterday with Emily. I mean as sweet as Emily is and how much of a jerk smirking idiot here is,I can't still believe they're related. People around the school were looking at us like he just gave me my underwear back and others were gossiping not believing I was talking to the number one hot guy himself.

"Thanks"I said lowly and started heading to my class when I heard,

"One more thing"he said. I turned around and he showed me a video of myself last night, from the moment I got angry to when I shoved Max away  to when he hugged me from behind calming me.

"Now I want you to do everything I say or I'll hit send and the whole school will see the real Ashley Rathaway"he said grinning. I tried to collect the phone but I couldn't .

"Bub bub bub,come to my house at 3:oo today and I'll tell you what to do or else I'll be playing with a send button"he said and smirked walking away

How did he get that on video? What is he going to make me do? The warning bell rang. Maybe I'll sit this one out,I thought slipping down resting against my locker thinking of how to get that phone away from him making sure to crush it and flush it down the toilet. My life was already miserable but Wesley Parker just made it a lot worse.
