"Mom, when will aunt Cyndy come back?"
"I don't know sweetie, we just have to keep on hoping that someday she will" my mother replied, worriness written all over her face. My mom loved aunt Cyndy, they were sisters for crying out loud. Even though I never met her, I'm still wondering if they will ever find her. "Go on to bed Mary, it's late" my mom said.
"Alright" I replied, slipping out of my chair and into my room. Darkness was all I could see, but the light from the kitchen iluminated my way to my bed. After I layed down, I looked up at the celing. "Please god, help me find my aunt" I pleaded, hoping he could hear my prayers. With that in mind, I drifted off into a deep sleep.
It was cold, like a winter morning. With a yawn, I woke up from my deep slumber. But, I wasn't at home. I don't know where I am. After a moment of just looking around, I realized I was in a park, on a bench. How did I ever end up here? I sit up. Am I dreaming or something? At this point, I hope I am. But, the most important thing I should be worried about is, how will I get home? I got up, deciding to find a taxi or something. This town has a original style, like the 1960's. Man, why is it so cold here? WHat if I'm in the north pole? Nah, that's not the place. If it was, then I would of seen Santa Claus by now. But sadly, I haven't. I walked around, seeing if there's any place where I could use a phone. I saw a couple walking by, so I figured maybe they can tell me where I am.
"Excuse me, I was wondering- ", I started, but they walked right past me as if I wasn't even there. "Okay, that was rude" I said to myself. I walked on, hoping to find someone who is acually nice. But everyone I went up to, did the same thing. Now I'm starting to think that I'm dead. I could of been a ghost this whole time, and not even know it. Is that even possible? Well, I was still ganna try. A guy, around 14, came walking.
"Hey" I said, stoping him. He looked directly at me. "Can you tell me what town this is, please?"
"Tulsa, Oklahoma" he replied. Yes, he can see me. Then, reality caved in. I'm in Oklahoma?! This gotta be a joke.
"Is this a joke?" He shook his head. At first I figured he was joking, but when I noticed he was serious, I knew he wasn't. I sighed.
"Could you just excuse me for a minute, I'll be right back" I said. I walked all the way across the street, and screamed my head off. I cussed and cursed and yelled. I had a bitch fit. Then, I came back to the bewildered boy.
"Thank you for your time" I said politely.
"Your welcome" he shyly responded. Out of nowhere, a guy walks up to us, hitting the boy on the back.
"Hey Johnnycake" he said. "Well, who do we have here, you finally got yourself a girl" he added. The boy blushed a deep red. I raised my eyebrows. "What's your name?"
"Mary, and I was just asking him a question" I stated.
"No, he's not in a relationship, he's single" the guy said, a smirk on his face.
"I wasn't asking that kind of question" I replied.
"So, you're single right?" I was shocked. What the hell is this guy thinking.
"I'm thirteen, now if you would excuse me" I said, turning around. I was walking away, when the guy stopped me.
"Wait," he said," I'm sorry." I stood there, my arms crossed. "I didn't get to tell you my name, I'm Two-Bit" he said.
"Wait, that's your name?" He nodded, a sly smile planted on his face. "Hu, that's a one of a kind name" I said, not wanting to sound rude.
"Yea, now what's a pretty thing like you doing walking all by your lonesome?" I shrugged.
