*A MICROWAVE?!? SHY, WHY?*

It's funny. On to the story.

Me: What kind of medication am I on to be here?

???: You are not on any prescription. You are merely in another vision. Another version of you.

Me: Doesn't prove my point.

???: You are merely in a room opposite of Darkness.

Me: Soo... if that's the case, you're made of light?

???: Not of light, dear Esmeralda, but rather hope. Love. Peace. Prosperity.

Me: Soo... you're the positive one?

???: Eh... basically.

Me: I'll take what I can get. So, you're a vision?

???: A mere voice right now. A voice of your mind. A voice from the past.

Me: The past?

???: I'm not you. Darkness isn't you. We are, or were, supposed to be your triplet brother and sister. Unfortunately, we are not.

Me: Wait. I'm the soul keeper of my brother and sister. How come I'm not feminine?

???: You were supposed to be male. I was supposed to be female. Darkness was male.

Me: Soo... I'm, technically speaking, three people in one package?

???: When you say it like that, yes. Peaceful, violent, and neutral, all in one.

Me: How did this happen?

???: Well... do you want me to tell you, or do you want to see for yourself?

Me: I'd much rather see how it happened. But first, what were you going to be called? Whenever you were born?

???: Darkness was supposed to be Dominic, while I was supposed to be Zoey.

Me: Would you like to be called Zoey?

Zoey: Sure. Now then, where were we?

Me: You were about to explain why we're here.

Zoey: Right.

I felt myself being lifted out of the light and into a different form of reality. I was transported to the hospital where I was born. I could also hear Zoey's voice inside of my head.

Zoey: Remember: you can't interact with this form of the world. You can't communicate with anyone or touch anything, but you can still hear conversations.

I walked down a long, narrow hallway until I reached a room that had a name for Gracelyn Ashley Steven-Taylor written on it. I peeked inside and saw my mother on a bed and my father right next to her. Dad was a more bulky figure, standing at 6'3". He was wearing his favorite brown jacket, blue jeans, and gray boots. He had this sort of rough voice, but also had a soft touch to it. They were apparently talking with a doctor about... something I couldn't hear. I walked forward until I could hear what they were saying.

Doctor: I'm afraid I have very bad news, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor.

Dad: What is it, Doc? We're anticipating the worst.

Doctor: You were expecting triplets.

Dad: I... never knew this information.

Doctor: That's what it is. You were expecting triplets, two boys and a girl. Only one of them survived. A very healthy son. I'm terribly sorry to bring you this information about your children.

I noticed that both Mom and Dad had tears in their eyes.

Dad: Sorry, Doc. I just need a minute.
