So, turns out we had to take two vehicles to get to where Serina said that the hidden base was, and we only could take 8 people. Hey, when you have two sports cars and only four seats each, you can't really put anybody else anywhere, unless on the roof. They were gassed up and ready by the time we were. I took the dark blue one with Mike, Meggy, and Serina, while Dominic and Desti took the chrome gray one with Marie and Callie.

We could communicate with the others via over the phone or with the car's built in radio. Not a regular radio. Like a police radio. Also, I wasn't driving. Mike was, even with his f***ed up foot. Unfortunately but fortunately, I was in the backseat with Meggy.

Mike: So How far is it from here to back home, Orange?

Me: Somewhere between 5 and 7 hours. I suggest getting comfy. It's going to be a loooooooooong ride.

Serina: You should've told us that before we decided to help you.

Me: Well, I didn't. Just get comfy, and the ride won't be long.

Meggy: Somehow, I don't believe that.

Mike: Does it look like I can shut my eyes and we'll magically be there? Hell no. I'm the one that's trying to make sure we get there without dying.

Me: Well, I mean... yeah.

Mike: Why does falling asleep kind of feel like fast-traveling? I've always wondered that.

Meggy: I have no idea how.

Serina: Well, it feels like that because time quickly passes when you're fully asleep. You have a different experience every day and hardly anything's the same. It's really just a matter of perspective on what it is.

Me: Well, that's... one way to think of it. I thought it was just because of a time skip in the space-time continuum.

Meggy: The what now?

Me: I don't know what it is. All I know about it is that it controls the time and space we are currently in.

Meggy: Better.

Serina: Could we change the subject?

Me: What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you?

Mike: Easy. Shit myself while I was hunting when I was 13.

I chuckled a little.

Serina: I'd... rather not say.

Me: Well, for me, it was when I was back at the Asylum, as we called it. I just finished playing the guitar for everyone there when this one girl walked up to me. She told me that the songs I played were tied with my mood.

Mike: Do explain that.

Me: The type of song I played changed with how I was feeling on that day. Bad mood, sad song. You understand that?

Mike: Yep.

Me: So, I was putting my guitar away in its case back at my room when the girl walked up to me.

Mike: I thought you said she walked up to you after you finished playing the guitar.

Me: I meant to say that she visited me in my room.

Serina: Let him finish his story.

Me: Long story short, she kissed me on the cheek and walked away from me.

THAT was able to make everyone laugh their a$$es off, me included.

Mike(wheezing): How could that happen to you?

Me(chuckling): It's just who I am.

After trying to settle for about five minutes, we all went back to what we were originally doing.
