We rolled into a familiar graveyard after we busted through the gate and went a little ways away before parking and the two of us got out of the truck and rounded the back, the terminator opening the door. "Come with me."
The two got and the the terminator nudged us up the stairs and two a small, familiar building. We walked in and we were lead into the room with stone walls with names on them. My eyes instantly zeroed onto mom's plaque.
SARAH CONNOR
1959-1997
NO FATE BUT WHAT WE MAKE
"Your mother?" asked Kate.
"I never even knew where she was buried. I hit the road the day she died." He breathed before looking at the terminator. "Why did you bring me here?"
He walked over, making sure we were off the the side before he pulled his arm back and slammed his hand through.
"No! What are you doing?!" John tried to take a step forward but I gripped his shoulder. He looked at me and I shook my head, telling him to just stay back.
The terminator grabbed the casket and pulled it out before opening in, revealing all different kinds of guns.
"Sarah Connor was cremated in Mexico. Her friends and Kayden scattered her ashes in the sea. They stored these weapons in accordance with her will."
John slowly sat down on the stone bench, taking it all in. I knew I should have told him but he left before I could.
"What happened to her?" asked Kate.
"Leukemia." John answered her.
"I'm sorry."
"We were living in Baja when she was diagnosed." I spoke as I sat beside John. "They only gave her six months."
"But she fought for three years." John finished. "Long enough to make sure."
"To make sure?" Kate questioned.
"That the world didn't end." I answered.
""Every day after this one is a gift." She told me, "We made it. We're free." But I never really believed that. I guess she didn't either." He went quiet as he watched the terminator. "You know you were about the closest thing to a father I ever had? How pathetic is that?"
Kate took this moment to grab the pistol that was laying on the other side of the casket, making the terminator stand and she was quick to cock the gun and pointed at him.
"Out of my way!" she ordered him.
"My mission is to protect you." he told her.
"That's enough!" Kate stepped back against the wall. He walked closer to her.
"Move or I'll do it! I swear I will! I'll shoot you!"
"Go ahead, see what happens." John stated boredly.
"I doubt it will do much." I chuckled.
The terminator grabbed the gun right as she pulled the trigger. His head jerked back but it didn't do much damaged to him. She let the handle go and stared up at him, her eyes wide and her mouth open in.
He moved his jaw around before spitting the bullet out onto the floor. "Don't do that."
"Oh my god..."
A sudden noise suddenly drew our attention and than two smoke bombs were thrown and rolled into the room.
"This is the police. We have the building surrounded." a faint voice came from outside. "Release your hostage!"
