Terminator: Kayden's Journey

Road Trip

We rolled down a dirt road, away from the main road until we reached what looked like camping grounds. We pulled up to an RV that had a tent and other things strewn around it. Once the car was parked, the terminator and I got out and we headed to the RV. The Terminator forced the door opened and looked in before walking back to the car. I got into the RV, looking around before stepping back out after a moment. I saw the Terminator and John standing there and from what I could tell, they had just finished talking.

"So this...Terminatrix," John began as he started to follow after the other as he began to walk towards the car. "How many others does she have on her hit list?"

"Twenty-Two." he replied, grabbing some more weapons from the casket. "Anderson, Elizabeth. Anderson, William. Barrera, Jose."

He started to head back to the RV, passing Kate who was still sitting in the care. "Brewster, Robert."

"My father?" Kate quickly got out of the car.

"Having failed to acquire its primary target, T-X will resume its default program."

"She's gonna kill my father too?"

There's a high probability."

"No." Kate shook her head.

"Who is he? What does he do?" John questioned her.

"He's in the Air Force. Weapon design, secret stuff. I don;t know, exactly."

"General Robert Brewster is program director of CRS," The terminator walked passed us and to the back of the car again, his hands free. "Cyber Research Systems, autonomous weapons division."

"Skynet," John spoke up. "You're talking about Skynet, aren't you."

"Skynet is one of the digital defense systems developed under Brewster." the terminator walked back to the RV. I leaned back against the side of the car and watched them.

"Oh, god. Oh my god. Of course. It all makes sense now. If you hadn't come back when I was a kid, everything hadn't changed, she and I would have gotten together then, I would have met her father a long time ago." John looked at Kate. "Don't you see?"

"I don't understand." Kate frowned slightly.

"Your father. This is all about your father. He's the key, he always was. Your father is the one who can shut Skynet down. He's the only one who ever could." He turned to the terminator. "We have to get to him before the T-X does."

"Negative. I cannot jeopardize my mission." The terminator walked passed us again, towards the back of the car.

"This is your mission, to save people!"

"My mission is to ensure the survival of John Conner, Kayden Connor and Katherine Brewster."

"I am giving you an order."

"I am not programmed to follow your orders. After the nuclear war, you both-"

"Nuclear War?!" exclaimed Kate.

"There doesn't have to be a war!" shouted John. "We can stop it!"

"There is insufficient time." the terminator stopped at the table that was beside the RV, setting the weapons and ammo down onto it. "The first launch sequences will be initiated at six-eighteen pm.

"What? Today?"

"Affirmative."

"John, what is he saying?" asked Kate.

"Judgement Day." I spoke up, making her look at me. "The end of the world."

"It's today, three hours from now." John finished.
