Eddie's POV
I needed my aspirator. I was gasping for air and taking a few pumps hardly helped. So it wasn't my asthma. Richie had really made me breathless.
Great.
I trudged my way back to the group and sat back in the circle.
"You good Eddie?" Mike asked.
I sighed and lifted a hand to point at a case of beer, "I need a drink," I muttered.
"Sure thing," Stan went to toss one to me.
"Wait," Richie interrupted, "I think you've had enough Eddie, you don't look so great."
I snapped my head to look at him, "since when do you have a say in what I do?"
I was getting mad at him, he was the reason I was 'not looking so great.'
Richie shrugged, "I just don't want to clean up vomit."
I rolled my eyes, "hit me up Stan." He smiled and tossed the can which I managed to catch.
I guzzled the nasty liquid down like it was apple juice.
Someone let out a frustrated sigh, it sounded like Richie.
"Alr-right," I hiccupped, "Stan the Man, truth or dare?"
"Dare," he smirked, "let's see what Eddie can cook up in his innocent little mind."
"I just made out with Richie, I think my innocence is revoked," I commented, not even thinking about what I was really saying.
Jesus, I was a lightweight.
The losers laughed and Richie turned red. Ha. Good.
"I dare you t-to," I hiccupped again, "punch Richie in the face."
"Done."
"Hey! Why am I getting hit?!" Richie exclaimed.
"Because you are making me feel confused and that makes me frustrated and I would really appreciate you feeling some pain since you ignored me for four years--dang I need to stop talking," I covered my mouth to prove it. I really needed to stop exposing myself.
"Fuck me," Richie groaned and took off his glasses, "don't enjoy this too much."
"I can't make any promises," Stan wound up his fist and swung. But at the last second he flattened his hand and straight up bitch slapped Richie.
"Fuck!" Richie cursed holding his cheek.
I felt kinda bad but giggled anyway.
"That felt really good," Stan said while shaking out his hand and crawling back over to Bill. "Alright, truth of dare....Beverly!"
"Dare," she grinned manically.
"I dare you to dye Richie's hair silver!" he giggled.
Beverly shrugged, like he was unbothered.
"Why am I always involved?" Richie whined and stuck out his bottom lip.
My heart fluttered when he looked over at me.
"'Cause you're a dick."
"Hey now, can we play a different party game?" Richie insisted, "one where I'm not getting slapped or my hair is getting destroyed?"
Stan sighed and waved Bev to stop her actions, "I guess your majesty...what do you have in mind?"
Richie sat thinking, chewing on his lip.
If my heartrate sped up anymore I think I would have fainted.
"Spin the bottle!" I exclaimed and everyone whipped their heads towards me, "it's a definite cliché"
Ben nodded in agreement.
"Wait...there's only one girl here though, so I'm guessing we our doing same sex kisses as well?" Mike questioned.
I hadn't thought of that....or maybe I had.
"Well me and Bill are gay and Richie too, Eddie wears booty shorts and you and Ben are pretty chill people, so I think we will be okay."
"What does me wearing booty shorts have anything to do with that?" I felt self conscious and looked down at my legs. They were pale and I had shaved them, but only because it would have been gross to wear this shorts without shaving. I fidgeted with the hem and debated about changing into jeans.
Stan opened his mouth but Richie stopped him, "absolutely nothing, you're gorgeous please don't change," he talked so fast.
I blushed at his words and smiled, Richie liked them. Why did that matter to me?
"Spin the bottle it is," Mike shrugged and I nodded happily.
Hopefully I get to kiss Richie again.
Fuck, nope I definitely did not just think that.
I pushed those embarrassing thoughts to the back of my mind. Not that it worked.
I was still staring at Richie's lips and remembering what it felt like when they were pressed against my own.
