"That's none of your business." The last thing I need her to know is that my mom kicked me out in a drunken state for no reason. But I had a hunch it was because I was different.
"Well sorry for asking Mr. Mysterious." She says in a mocking tone as she looks me over like she's thinking about something. "Are you going to ask why I'm here?"
I shake my head. "No, that's none of my business and you should stay out of mine," She looks taken aback by my words but within seconds she smiling again. I look around the cave which makes me feel even more claustrophobic. "I have to go." I mumble and turn to walk away.
"Wait!" She calls out to me and In a few seconds she standing beside me. "Do you know where I can get some food, I'm kinda hungry."
I smile when I realize I'm actually quite taller then her.
"Yea there's a berry bush not far from here." She giggles and runs ahead of me. I walk out of the cave and she's up ahead, her back facing me.
"You see that right?" I scan the area to see the corner of a grey building. Oh no.
"I don't see anything." I lie and catch up to her. As soon as I'm about to grab her arm she starts to run towards it.
"Come on where's your sense of adventure!" She giggles again.
I readjust my bandana so it doesn't fall off and run after her.
This will not end well.
