"Oh god. Where do I begin? What do you want to know first?" I ask her and she thinks a few minutes before answering.

"Why were you kicked out?"

I take a deep breath. "My mom kicked me out when she was drunk." She gives me an apologetic look.

"I'm sorr-"

"Don't even say that," I interrupt her. "I hate when people say they're sorry when they really aren't."

I can she her shrink back and I sigh. "My dad was giving that little boy powers In a very inhumane way. He only did that to me and one other person, or so I thought but I guess he's moving onto other people. I almost didn't make it." I whisper and she lets out a gasp. This time she hugs me and I hug her back.

-flashback-

Tears stream down my face. "Dad! Please No!" I scream as he ties me down to the chair. I squirm and try to get out of the bindings but it doesn't work, the chains are too strong.

"Stay still Alex this won't hurt a bit. You're a young boy you pull through this." His low and oddly soothing voice whispers.

"I'm thirteen! You can't do this." I cry.

He doesn't say anything more but instead her walks over to a metal chair that has a needle on it. He picks it up and walks back over to me and I try to get out one last time before he sticks the needle into my arms and pushes the plunger down.

The pain is almost instant. I scream as loud as I can and my dad doesn't even flinch he just stands and watches.

Just as the first wave of pain stops another one comes and I can feel every muscle in my body move like I'm having a seizure but instead of not being aware of what is happening. I know exactly is happening and all I can feel is pain.

The pain eventually stops and I'm left limp in the chair.

-flashback over-

"Alex?" Arya's voice snaps me out of my flashback and we're still hugging. "Are you ok?"

"Yea, I'm fine." I mumble.

"But you're crying." My eyes widen and I quickly wipe them away. But then hug her again. I haven't cried since the day my dad did that to me and that was six years ago.

"I'm fine." I say again, trying to convince myself.

"It looks like you were having a flashback do you want to talk about it?"
