(Arya's POV)
"This is amazing!" I squeal. Alex shifts back and stands beside me.
"What's amazing?" He asks in a monotone voice.
I jump up and down like a little kid on Christmas. "I thought I was the only one!" Just like Alex I can shift into an animal but instead of a wolf, I shift into a red fox. My brother, Adrian turns into a wolf though. Well he did before the accident.
"What are you talking about?" His voice sound irritated.
"Watch this!" I go through the same process as Alex goes through except I grow reddish fur on my skin instead of black.
Once I'm done I look at Alex and he looks like he's in shock. "Woah." Is all he says and sits down. I walk over to him and climb into his lap. He stays still for a few minutes until he starts to scratch behind my ears. I hope he doesn't mind that I'm doing this.
We stay in silence until he asks the question I don't read want to answer, "Why were you kicked out?"
