Leo's Pov
I knew that Jaysean was mad at me. This whole day has been a rollercoaster of emotions. After five months I figured it wasn't going to be easy but, I didn't see being this bad. I tried calling him for a second time and just like the first, I was sent straight to voicemail.
"Damnit!" I groaned tossing my phone to the side and laying back on the bed.
I decided to come back to my father's place instead of staying at Jaysean's. We needed space at the moment. Maybe it was just too much, too soon. All that time apart seemed to have had a greater effect than we thought.
"Trouble in paradise" Leslie hummed coming into my room.
"None of your business" I grumbled getting up.
"So that's a yes" she hummed smirking.
"Whatever. My relationship has nothing to do with you so, do us both a favor and stay out of it" I said.
"Okay but, I told you. Guys like Jaysean don't do well with long distance. He's probably been fucking everything that moves while we were back home in Texas. Who knows?" she muttered shrugging her shoulders.
"I do. He didn't cheat. He wouldn't pull that kind of bullshit and lie to me about it" I replied.
"You haven't even known him for that long. Besides your a man so, you should realize that they lie. Don't be naive Leo" she scoffed.
"Get the hell out of my room and out of my relationship. Go find a man of your own and leave me and mine alone" I spoke getting up.
"Whatever. I'm just trying to help you" Leslie murmured under her breath as she headed toward the door.
"Sure you are. Goodbye" I hummed rolling my eyes.
"Fine but, you let him walk all over you. You never used to let anyone do that Leonardo" she whispered before leaving.
I thought about my sister's words and there was some truth to it. Ever since getting a relationship with Jay I forgot about myself. I never wanted to be like my mom and lose myself in someone. That was just bullshit. Glancing over at my phone I saw it ring and Jay's number pop up.
