Eva's pov:

" isn't obvious , its because i am simply deeply crazily in love with you my love " 

when i heard nick say that i felt my face flush red and my heart started thumping like crazy , i didn't know what to do , there is a part of me who was scared , after all i grow up without understanding these kind of emotions , i struggled to give Nickolas some kind of reaction, he must have sensed my struggle as his face fell a little and his smile dimmed 

"you don't have to say it back to me , i don't want you to feel pressured , but i just cant help what i feel for you " nick said while caressing my cheek 

"that's not it Nickolas" i wanted to say more but i felt my throat tighten 

"through out growing up , i never knew what love is ! i never had the chance to love a friend a family member or even think about having a lover , so these words you just said made me feel scared that's all , scared that i might lose all this one day , and go back to being the lonely girl i was " i said while tears were threatening to fall 

"don't be scared , i am by your side , i will be both your friend and family , and of course a lover "

i laughed a little at his cheeky smile which made me wince in pain when i moved by mistake 

"what's wrong are in pain ? did i touch you by mistake ? should i call the doctor ?" nick asked while panicking , i held his hand

"no need love , i had worst " 

"what did you just call me ?" nick asked as he got closer to me

"i called you love ,  isn't obvious i should call you love ,  because i am simply deeply crazily in love with you my love " nick laughed out loud as he came closer and kissed my lips slowly 

"god i need to hold my self back , its going to take a lot of time for you to heal " 

"nope , i heal pretty fast darling " i smirked at him as i tugged on his shirt " don't underestimate the body of a former gangster , wait until i heal probably and i will make sure to take you down " 

nick laughed out loud with lust visible in his eyes " don't tempt me miss queens , there is limits to my self restraint " while we were exchanging words a nurse came in blushing while her head was on the ground

"i a-amm sorry but miss Eva needs to take her medicine and gets her vitals checked  " 

"yes come in , i will wait outside " nick said while coughing loudly  

after that awkward moment the nurse came in and gave me my medicine, the doctor came and asked me some questions , he told me that everything seems alright for now , and that i just need to be extra careful , and take my medications on time , and he said that if things continue like this i might be able to leave the hospital in a couple of days , as long as i rest at home to , 

nick came in and asked for another bed to be putted in the room so he can stay with me , the doctor informed us that his mother is getting better and they are already seeing improvements in here health ,  so both me and nick slept soundly that night without any worries .

 through the night , i  started shivering like crazy , i wanted to call someone but i didn't want to wake Nickolas up, he was obviously exhausted , i felt cold and hot at the same time , but the worst part was the coughing that would come in waves, each time i started coughing , i will have hard time breathing because of my stitches, nick must have felt my whimpering

"Eva , are you okay ?" 

"yeah , go back to sleep " my voice was hoarse from all the coughing 

"what's wrong with your voice ?"  i wanted to answer but another fit of coughing started , nick got up , and ran towards me to help me , when he touched my forehead he cursed out loud

"f**k your burning up Eva , i will call the doctor , wait a second" nick went outside running , through  my blurry vision i can see his face wincing in pain and concern

the doctor came in , his hair was messy as he obviously was sleeping before he came in  , he took my temperature and started shouting  orders to the nurses while nick stood at the side watching me closely , after that i couldn't remember anything as i drifted slowly to deep slumber.

i woke up with the feeling of someone caressing my hand and kissing it gently , i could hear whispering around me , it was Jason and bella asking Nickolas to eat something and rest for a while , but he was obviously ignoring them , and staring at my face all the time 

"its not your fault Nickolas " Jason said while sighing 

"i should have known "  nick said , what should he have known? ,and what was his fault ? i started wondering , anyway i can tell that he hasn't been resting so i did my best to open my eyes , and the first thing i saw was Nickolas sitting by my side while having his head hanging down 

"god if people saw you , they wouldn't believe that your the same ruthless CEO" i said as a joke 

"baby your awake ? " nick stood up 

"eva are you okay ?" bella asked as she approached the bed 

"yeah i feel better , my throat feels a little soar that's all "

"i will call the doctor " Jason left the room with bella after him leaving me alone with Nickolas , nick's eyes were filled with pain and guilt 

"Nickolas" 

"why didn't you tell me Eva ?"
