Eva's pov :

its been a while since we arrived at the party , when we first came in all eyes were on us , the men were surprised and speechless , and some said they have never imagined seeing Nickolas in a relationship , and some of Nickolas's friends said they have started doubting that nick was gay , which by the way made Nickolas growl and pout like a child , all the young ladies at the party were eyeing me like I am some kind of a bitch who stole their man , but we all know he was mine right from the start so I didn't give them much of my attention, to my surprise nick never left my side , not even for a second he would take me with him to meet all of his work associates , and introduce me as his girlfriend , just like at this moment we were talking with an old man called (Anderson smith ) and his wife , they were really a sweet couple , Mr., smith was nicks father old friend and he helped nick at the beginning of his career

"Nickolas , shouldn't you be offering your girlfriend a dance we will finish work related topics at work" nick nodded toward Mr. smith and leaned towards me , he bowed a bit and offered me his hand, acting as royalty which made me speechless and let me chuckle a bit

"would you honor me with this dance my lady ?"

I bowed slowly while lifting the him of my dress and with a wide smile " I would be honored Mr. Royal" I took his hand as we went towards the dancing floor and while we were going over you could hear the old couple laughing and whispering about how glad and happy they were , we started dancing slowly while my favorite song started playing in the background , I intertwined my hand on nicks neck while leaned my head slowly towards his chest to hear his heartbeat against mine, he leaned his chin on my head with he hugged me closer to him and we started swaying In the dance floor

nick took a step back and lifted my face to look at his , with our eyes dazed in each other , at felt like we were alone in the middle of this big world and everyone around us faded in black only the voices of the song and our heartbeats could be heard

slowly both me and nick were leaning close towards each other and before our lips touched a loud cough was heard and with a small nudge on my back , both me and nick turned around with intent to kill that person in our eyes , to my surprise it wasn't one it was two , I saw Jason and bella , dancing and being really close which made me stare at them

"sorry man , but get a room your in the middle of the room full of people " Jason said to nick which made bella chuckle while I turned red , and nick growled for Jason to scram, Jason and bella left us alone to continue dancing

"they seemed happy "

"who ?" nick asked

"Mr. and Mrs. . smith "

"well yeah they have been like family since I can remember , and since they don't have children they have been treating me like one " nick looked sad for a moment but he continued talking "when my father died Anderson helped me with the company until I picked myself together , and aunt Liza has been helping me take care of mother when ever I am not here , so they are like family , thanks to them and Jason and every one else around I never felt alone "

I hugged him tighter while smiling gently towards him , god this man is something else

" you have me now , you will never be alone "

"yeah , and you have me "

after a while we stopped dancing and went toward our table , sitting together with the smiths and Jason and bella ,I excused myself to go use the ladies room , I went towards the bathroom and I after I finished I fixed my make up a bit , turning around to leave I saw a young woman wearing a tight strapless red dress that barley covered her bottom , and I am pretty sure her boobs could fall if she did one wrong move , she was blocking my way out , and she was obviously here for trouble so before she could start blabbering about things i don't want to hear , I pushed her aside and started moving towards the door , the moment I pushed her she staggered a bit , but she fixed her stance and hold my wrist and screamed "how dare you , do you know who i am?" i could feel her fake nail scratch my hand , i turned my head towards her with a bloody cold eyes that i used to threaten my victims with , she gasped a bit , and started trembling

"let go now " i said calmly , but with each word was aid with venom leaking

she let my wrist go , and took a step back , keeping her distance from me , i smirked at her and left the room and went towards the table to find everyone looking distressed and scared , but the scariest thing was , Nick's eyes , he got up and came toward me holding my hand in his and said

"we need to go "
