Once we finished eating at the Ritz, we walked to the bookshop with Aziraphale. I looked around, awestruck by how everything was back to normal... except some books weren't as worn out as before.
"Do you think anyone remembers anything that happened?" I asked, looking at each book.
"I don't think so, no." Aziraphale stated. "Otherwise we would hear a lot about it already."
I nodded, still looking at each individual book. Why are they all brand new, including some of the oldest books?
Crowley snaked his arms around me from behind, pressing a light kiss to my shoulder. "What are you thinking, love?"
I smile, closing my eyes as I relish in the feeling of Crowley's arms around me. I hum in contentment and turn towards him, kissing him softly. "I'm just thinking a bit. Everything just feels so weird. It's like I know we saved the world, but I feel like we didn't at the same time. Probably just a perception filter."
He nodded in understanding, swaying us back and forth. I smiled and began humming the song Come Away With Me by Norah Jones.
Our unintentional first dance.
He kissed my forehead and we slow danced to the song I was humming. My humming eventually turned to singing, making Crowley smile.
He twirled me a few times, making me laugh a little as I sang, but I kept up with the song. At the end, he gracefully dipped me, my (h/l) (h/c) touching the ground a little from how far down we went.
He pulled me back up and kissed me softly, a light blush covering my cheeks. We pulled away from each other when we noticed Aziraphale being a nosey angel and watching us with a delighted smile on his face.
"Shut it, angel." I muttered, blushing as I looked away from him and Crowley. Aziraphale laughed, causing me to blush more so I walked to the little seating area.
Crowley joined me as Aziraphale went and made some tea for us, a smile on my face as I leaned over onto Crowley's shoulder.
"You're a dork, d'you know that?" Crowley asked in a loving tone. I smiled and looked up at him.
"Took you long enough to realize it." I kissed his cheek and rested my head on his shoulder.
A long, loud yawn escaped my lips, making me blush in embarrassment. I can't believe I'm still worn out from yesterday. Crowley just smiled at me and pulled me closer, one arm wrapped around me with my head on his chest. His other hand was on my thigh, making me feel completely safe with him.
My eyes fluttered shut until I heard Aziraphale come in. "Oh, is she asleep?"
I sat up and rubbed my eyes, shaking my head. "Nah, I shouldn't sleep yet anyways. It's only four in the afternoon."
"You did have trouble sleeping last night though, love." Crowley stated, keeping his arm around me.
"I know, but I'm going to wait until it's night time." I stood my ground, gratefully accepting the cup of tea that Aziraphale had for me.
I took a few sips, some of the tension in my shoulders loosening. I placed the little cup on a coaster and leaned back into Crowley's embrace again.
"You know, for a celestial being, you sure do like to sleep." Crowley snickered.
"Shut up, dork." I groaned, attempting to stand up but he pulled me back down into his lap.
"Make me."
"Can't in front of Aziraphale. Unless you want to christen this c-"
"Okay! We're done with that conversation." Aziraphale interjected, making me laugh.
"Oh Azi, you know I'm just kidding!" I winked, a grin on my face. I stood up and let the boys talk a bit while I walked around the shop, looking at the names of some of the books. I took some sips of my tea as I walked, nearly doing a spit-take as I saw one book.
It's a book that was written nearly four hundred years ago by me.
"Is this where my book went?" I asked aloud, causing Aziraphale to go silent in the middle of his sentence. "Naughty angel, stealing books your own friend made!" I laughed, humor written all over my face. "I hope you know I did plan on making a sequel until someone stole my book."
Aziraphale coughed awkwardly when I leaned over out of the aisle I was in and caught his eye. Crowley snickered and mouthed something to Aziraphale which made him turn even more red from embarrassment.
"I did nothing wrong! I-I found it!" He defended himself.
"Mmm yeah I bet. You just happened to find it on my desk, right?" I giggled, walking back to the couch Crowley was sitting on and flopped onto it. "Do either of you mind if I stretch my wings a little? Sorry, it's just after they were finally out two days ago I realize how extremely uncomfortable it is."
After not getting a response from either of them, I unfurled my wings, accidentally hitting Crowley in the face with one.
"Oops! I'm so sorry!" I laughed, looking at the gobsmacked expression on his face. "I really didn't mean for that to happen, you okay honey?"
He gave me a playful glare, which made me innocently smile to mess with him. I stretched my wings a bit, making sure not to hit him this time. I suddenly felt a sharp pain in one and looked over, seeing Crowley look at me with a wicked, yet playful, glint in his eye.
"Did you just pick off one of my feathers? That hurt, you jackass!" I smacked his shoulder, pouting a little.
"When was the last time someone helped preen you?" He asked, making me freeze as I tried to think about it.
"Uh... before I fell? I tried to get some of the birds before the flood to help me out, but it always hurt when they did it. Their beaks are too sharp for my liking, and they're so nippy! I'm rambling aren't I?" I blushed, looking down at my hands. "Sorry, I know I could've just said before I fell..."
Crowley chuckled, "Come on, get over here, love. I'll help you out."
I blushed and got down between his legs, facing Aziraphale so he could get to each feather. I blushed even more as a few dirty thoughts came to mind about being on my knees...
Him and Aziraphale continued talking, leaving me to listen as I mostly paid attention to what Crowley was doing. One wrong move and I will slap him with both of my wings.
Honestly though, it felt soothing to finally have my wings touched. Call it silly, but I only let people I fully trust touch my wings. Last person who touched them was Michael. The one who tried to help kill my demon.
I flinched suddenly as Crowley pulled on a feather, making me slap him with my wing again. "Sorry! Reflex!"
Crowley rolled his eyes and continued chatting, my wings already feeling five times lighter than before. Crowley rubbed his hands down the top of my wings, making me shudder in pure bliss. He lightly massaged them as I placed my head on his lap, staring at his handsome face as he continued.
How is he so fucking beautiful?
I could stare at him all day if I could. He must've felt my stare on him because he suddenly looked down at me, a knowing smirk spreading across his stupid face.
"Can I help you?" He asked, his eyebrow raised in amusement
"Shut up and let me stare at you." I blushed, looking into his beautiful eyes. He stopped stroking my wings and put his arms around me.
"Get up here, you." He smiled. I got up on his lap and rested my head on his shoulder, taking my shoes off so I could prop them up on the couch.
After a bit of talking, somehow sleep crept up on me and I fell into the deep dark abyss of slumber.

Hey everyone. This is a shorter chapter I know. But I'm about to sleep and so far I haven't written only one chapter a day. It's always been two. So HA. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
