Metal doors opening and closing
People half asleep on their phones trying to stay awake
The ones with the largest scowls, don't ever look up(wake up)
every stop brings worse and worse peopleThe sidewalk is brimming with clones
Motivated only by the time frame enforced upon them
Beeps, barks, and rumbles keep the social norms as laws
And people march in packsI am blind
The earth spins viciously slow in the vacuum of space
Step onto the grass's softly packed dirt
Let my feet sink in
cleaning my feet of it's nasty perfectionThe mirrors shatter as I walk by
I cover them now for peoples safety
It used to be different
I used to be the one shattering when I looked in the mirrorI am blind
People gasp when I enter
My arms and back cut up, my face bruised
Hands consisting of dried blood and cuts
Exhaustion etched onto my faceKids cross the street when they see me approaching
People move aside when I try to get through busy paths
Store owners keep their eyes on me
Hesitation floods peoples faces when they have to sit next to me on the trainI am blind
I am blind
I am blind
I am blind
I am blindI am blind.
