This time last year
I was hiding out in a corner
Of a Christmas Eve's party
Pretending to be oh so "happy"This time last year

While gripping the end of my sleeve
As I tripped over my low self esteemThis time last year
I was a hot little mess
Crying to myself
About "stupid freaking Christmas"This time this year
Things have changed
I'm at the same Christmas Eve party
Just this time I'm not pretending anymore
