Melo's P.O.V

" Miss Clarkson, your presence is requested in the music club office right now"

The teacher said before leaving the classroom. What for?

" Let's go Melo dear, sabay nalang tayo dun. Malapit lang din naman ang billiards' hall sa music club room "

Napatango ako kay Champ. Have I mentioned that this girl is very talented in playing billiards? If not, then alam nyo na.

Napatingin ako sa mga babaeng pumapalibot sa dalawang lalaki sa likuran. Napailing nalang ako at lumabas na kasama si Champ. Naghiwalay kami ng landas when we reach the hallway dito sa club building. Nasa 3rd floor kasi ang billiards' hall at nasa 4th floor ang music club office. Bawat club ay may practise room at office. Actually I'm surprise why I am summoned here. Kinatok ko muna ang pinto bago bumasok.

"She's here"

Napatingin ako kay Sir Adan. Sya ang adviser ng music club.

"Good to have you here, Melody. Take a sit"

Umupo ako sa couch after thanking him. Napatingin ako sa mga taong nakaupo sa kaharap kong upuan kaya literal na napanganga ako. What the heck!

Magsasalita sana si Sir nang may kumatok sa pintuan at may pumasok. May sinabi sila sir but natulala ako... Why am I here in this room with the person whom I don't want to see anymore?

"Since everyone is here now, let me introduce you to each other. Melody, these guys are the members of Dark Aces and I believe that you know them already. Dark Aces , this is Psyche Melody Clarkson the Ace of the music club."

Hindi ako umimik at ngumite man lang. Why? It's because I'm uncomfortable on sitting in front of them.

"We know her, Seonsangnim! We're classmates"

Masiglang sabi ng lalaking kaklase ko na si Yuhan ata. Napangite ako. My mood lightens up each time I'm with a cheerful person.

"That's good"

"Hi I'm Jung Ji Hyun, just call me Ji "

Seryosong sabi ng lalaking may brown na buhok. May suot itong salamin pero hindi naman ito nakakabawas ng kagwapuhan nya. He looked cool though.

"Hey Miss beautiful! I am Sebastian Kim. You can call me baby if you want. I'm still single unless you want to be mine"

Sabay wink sakin kaya napangiwe ako. Seriously?? Siniko naman sya ng katabi nyang si Ji at pinandilatan ni Yuki at ni ano.

"Lee Eun Woo"

Tipid na salita ng lalaking nakaupo sa harap ko. I act as if ngayon ko lang sya nakilala.

"Er... Hello. You can call me Melo or whatever you want except for my first name."

Sabi ko at ngumite. Tiningna ko si Sir Adan na parang tuwang tuwa sa nakita nya.

"Why do you call me here , sir?"

Magalang kong tanong.

" Since Dark Aces is now in our school and since they are a famous band, the school decided that they should be in the music club"

My brows arched.

Okay lang naman sakin ang kasali sila sa club in fact advantage yon kasi sikat sila but ang akin lang naman , the club is patronizing soft and instrumental music. Kung may lyrics man , mild at hindi rock ang tinugtug. If this band will be in the club, it will make a difference right?

"Ah"

Yun lang ang tangi kong nasabi.

"It's time for a bit of change. Let's add rock in our club. Nakakaumay na din ang puro instrumental Miss Clarkson. You know the trend of music these days. Konting bilang nalang sa mga tao ang nahuhumaling sa mga ganyang uri ng musika."

I look away and breath deeply.

" I understand your point sir but I do not like the idea of calling MY type of music as NAKAKAUMAY. Instrumental music helps me a lot on dealing obstacles in my life sir. It is inspiring and signifies nobility. Nevertheless, I am not against on the idea about Dark Aces in the club because I'm quitting anyway. Excuse me Sir"

Mahinahon kong inilahad and kuro-kuro ng damdamin ko at tumayo bago sila tinalikuran.

" You know that you cannot quit this club easily Melody. Once you join , there's no turning back."

Napalingon ako kay Sir.

"You will collaborate with Dark Aces whether you like it or not"

Napamaang ako.

"What do you mean, Sir?"

" The handler of Dark Aces and I have an agreement that you and Dark Aces will work together on creating music for our school's exposure as well as their agency"

"It's fine with us"

Sagot ni EunWoo na comportable na nakaupo sa couch at naka dekwatro pa. Sumang-ayon naman sa kanya ang iba.

"But.... Why me , sir?"

Mahina kong tanong. May iba pa naman sa club na magaling sa mga ganito.

"Oh! I forgot to mention that the student council deducted members from the club and limit it into six members only. You are the ace of the music club, the jewel and the goddess of instrumental music. Besides, you have a very classy background and it could add more honorable feedback to the school once the music that you and dark aces will be creating is exposed on public "

That explains why but I'm uncomfortable of the title that he mentioned about me.

" I understand sir but ... but I can't play music with them. I can play on my own. No offense but I don't like loud music"

Nakayuko kong sagot.

Natahimik kami ng ilang segundo until someone dared to speak.

" Are you really sure that you don't like loud music? Based on what I know, You used to be a vocalist of a band two years ago"

Napaangat ako ng tingin. Eun Woo! What are you trying to do?

Tiningnan ko si Sir at halatang gulat ito sa narinig pati na ang kabanda nitong si Eun Woo.

" It's surprising to know that a famous band leader know something about me. I am honored but If you really know something about me, I bet you know the reason why I dislike the type of music you played."

Walang emosyon kong sagot. Nakaramdam ako ng tensyon dito sa loob.

"You know each other too well"

Natutuwang sabi ni Sir.

"Yes/No!"

Napatingin ako kay Eun Woo nang sabay kaming sumagot ngunit magkaiba. I denied yet he conceded. Oh please stop it Eun Woo, what are you trying to pull? Are you scheming something to break me again? If so, I won't let you. Not again.

May kumatok sa pinto at pumasok si Ms. Costa. Napangite ako. Good timing, Miss!

"Sorry to interrupt Mr. Adan but can I excuse Melody for a bit? It is regarding the school paper. We will be having a photo shoot for the cover page and she'll be the highlight of the school paper for winning the international memory competition. This is urgent sir , I hope that you'll understand"

Nakangiting usal ni Miss at tiningnan ako.

"Sure, no problem"

Nakangiting saad ni sir at binalingan ako.

"Melody, I'll expect that you will collaborate with Dark Aces"

Sasagot sana ako nang hinila ako ni Miss. Costa.

"The clock is ticking dear "

Tumango ako at nagpaalam kay sir bago lumabas. Hindi ako lumingon o sumulyap man lang ang lalaking yon. Bahala sya sa buhay nya.
