Melody's P.O.V

" Young lady, are you okay?"

Umiling ako at pinunasan ang luha sa mga mata ko. Tama ba talaga yung desisyon ko? Bakit pakiramdam ko, kasalanan ko kung bakit nagkagulo ang lahat ng ito? Una, sinaktan ko si Yuki. Pangalawa, nasaktan ko si Lorraine. Pangatlo, nagalit sa akin sina Ji, at higit sa lahat nagagalit sa akin si Champagne.

Mas lalo kong niyakap ang unan habang nakatalukbong ako sa kumot. Isang linggo na ang lumipas at isang linggo na akong hindi pumapasok sa paaralan. Lagi akong pinuntahan ni Eun dito kaya nagkikita kami kahit papano. Bakit?  Natatakot  lang akong harapin ang bunga ng aking ginagawa.

Flashback

Nang umalis si Yuki, ibinaon ko ang mukha ko sa leeg ni Eun. Doon ko iniyak ang lahat ng sakit at saya na nararamdaman ko. Masaya ako na sa wakas, nagkabalikan kami ng lalaking minahal ko pero nakokonsensya pa rin ako dahil may tao akong nasaktan kapalit ng kasiyahang ito.

"Baby Psyche. I love you. I love you so much"

Rinig kong sabi ni Eun kaya kumalas ako sa yakap at tinitigan sya. Hinawakan nya ang mukha ko gamit ang dalawa nyang mga kamay at tinitigan ako sa mata. Nakikita ko naman ang kayumanggi nyang mga mata na syang bumibihag ng puso ko mula noon hanggang ngayon. Rinig na rinig ko ang malakas na pagtibok ng puso ko. Nanghihina ang tuhod ko dahil sa tingin na ipinukol nya sa akin na puno ng pagmamahal.

"Do you know how hard it was for me to let you go?"

Hindi ako sumagot.

"Baby, I swear that cheating was not the reason why we broke up."

Napakunot ang noo ko sa sinabi nya.

"Baby, I swear that there was no woman involved why I did that"

"B-but you said t-that you don't l-love me anymore and y-you have another. I saw you. I s-saw you with a girl and y-you have L-loraine "

Napabuntong hininga sya at niyakap ako ng mahigpit.

"Listen carefully. Okay?"

Tumango lang ako dahil puro paghikbi nalang ang naging sagot ko sa tanong nya.

"That was scripted. That was just a show , for you to think that I cheated so that it would be easier for me to let you go and for you to forget me."

Gusto kong magsalita kaso mas hinigpitan ni Eun ang pagyakap sakin. Senyales na dapat akong makinig at huwag magsalita.

"Baby, I swear that I didn't want to let you go but I was left with no choice. A famous entertainment company offered me to be their artist in exchange for us to be separated. Baby, I know that it was just a small thing for you but the owner of the company met me in person. She said that I was not perfect for her grand daughter. I was just nothing and it would be shameful to let the whole world know that an heiress of a famous and richest conglomerate was a girlfriend of a commoner. Baby, you know that my family was not that rich. My dad's company back then was on its downfall and the owner of that entertainment company offered me that they will save my family's business from bankruptcies if I would follow what they will say."

Hindi ko alam ang gagawin ko. Sobrang sakit na ang sarili kong Lola ay gagawa ng paraan para durugin ako.

"I chose you baby. I swear I tried choosing you but fate was not with me. My father got hospitalized because of a heart attack and my mother cannot run the business since I was too young and I was not capable of handling a company which was on its downfall. Baby, I was torn between love and duty. Either you or my family and dreams. Baby, my father died because we didn't have any money to cure him. A few months after, my mother got sick and was diagnosed with a liver cancer. Baby, I cannot provide my mother's medicine using the money I earned on our gigs back then! My father died and I don't want to lose my mother. My dream to have a brighter future with my parents was slowly fading. You think that my dream was just to be famous? Then you're wrong babe. Your grandmother kept on insisting that I should accept her offer. She said that if I would break up with you then she will give back our company that she bought and would send the best doctor to cure my mother. She also promised to make me into a famous band vocalist if I would follow what she said."
