"Dad, where is Caspian?" I asked my father, tears running down my cheeks as I held his head.
"He- he didn't make it, honey. I- I am sorry." My father said hoarsely and coughed up blood.
"N-No. He- He can't be." I cried.
"He couldn't get out of the c-car in time." My father said softly before he closed his eyes and never opened them again.
"No! No, dad wake up! Don't leave me! Dad, please! NO!"
I woke with a start, sitting upright in my bed. My breaths were loud and came out fast. This wasn't like my normal nightmares. Instead of just my father dying, Caspian died too.
I gulped a few times before I climbed out of bed and got dressed. I tip-toed out of the house and walked to the graveyard. It was about 11 pm so it was still dark out.
"Hi Dad, or should I say good evening?" I whispered to his gravestone, "Things have been falling apart since I last visited you. Caspian and I, well we had a fight. He kissed Meghan...again." I started to cry while proceeding my conversation.
I fell to my knees in front of his gravestone and it started to rain. It soaked my clothes and left me bibbering in front of my dead father.**********
My mom woke up due to a continous banging on the door. She headed down and opened the door.
"Caspian?" She asked surprised.
"Where is she?" He asked my mother desperately.
My mother casually leaned against the door frame with her arms crossed over her chest.
"She went to go see her father." My mom answered and Caspian snapped immediately what she had said.
He rushed to the graveyard and searched everywhere for me until he saw me sleeping, with my head resting against my father's tombstone. He stared up at the sky, the weather was abominable. He came up to me as softly as he possibly could.
"Becca, wake up. It is me, Caspian." He whispered softly while holding onto my arms.
"C- Caspian?" I asked half disorientated, because I had just woken up.
"Yes, it's me." He said, trying not to sound too happy.
When I suddenly remembered where I was, I jumped up and threw him a glare.
If looks could kill, he'd be six feet under.
I thought angrily. I paced up and down in front of my father's tombstone very confused. I bowled him over and speedily walked to the graveyard exit. Caspianran after me, I could hear the autumn leaves cracking under his weight.
"Becca, wait! Please, I have to explain about what happened yesterday in the cafeteria!" He yelled after me.
He caught up to me and grabbed my wrist, turning me around to face him. There were dark circles under his eyes which gave me the impressions he did not sleep at all last night. He took both my hands in his before he started explaining.
"I never wanted to kiss her and technically I didn't. She entrapped me. Her friends were always hovering around me, like a group of bodyguards. I could not escape them, even if I tried. Yesterday she was ready to drag my name through the mud in front of the whole school. I came into the cafeteria to confront her about it when one of her friends pushed me into her and she kissed me. She has a tight grip," Caspian said haltingly and lifted up his sleeves, showing me the bruises on his wrists, "I really love you, Becca. I mean it..."
It started to rain while we stood in the graveyard. Caspian and I both looked up into the sky at the same time. He moved his gaze to me and I could feel the weight of his stare. I closed my eyes, because the droplets of water stung my eyes. I blinked a few times before I opened my eyes again and looked directly at Caspian.
"Becca, I love you." He cupped my cheek and gently swooped his lips down on mine.
I held his hand on my cheek and returned his kiss. The butterflies in my stomach flew around viciously. I pulled away from his addictive lips and laughed. He laughed too, revealing those perfect teeth of his, and rested his forehead against mine. He caressed my cheek with his thumb and stared into my eyes with unconditional love.
"I love that twinkle in your eyes." I smiled at him.
"Surely you must know, it only appears when I am with you." His lips curled into a tiny grin.**********
"Put these on. I don't want you to get sick with those soaking wet clothes on." Caspian said from his cupboard and placed an outfit for me on his bed.
"Thank you." I replied softly and sat down on the edge of his bed and stared at him.
"What are you staring at?" He laughed when he noticed my eyes were on him.
"At you." I smirked and bit my bottom lip playfully.
He leaned over me which caused me to lay down on my back into his covers. He came in for the kiss, but before his lips reached mine, I slammed mine against his. He deepend the kiss and pulled me closer to his body with his one hand.
"I am going to go down to the kitchen to make us some hot chocolate and when you are done dressing, you can come down and we will choose a movie together." He said as he pulled away from my lips.
I nodded as he walked to the door and exited his room. I stood up from his bed and got dressed in the oversized shirt he got for me. I went to stand in front of his vertical mirror and checked out my reflection after I had put on the whole outfit. I went downstairs and caught him in the living room busy connecting the laptop to the television using the HDMI cable. I leaned against the door frame and watched him.
"What do you want to watch?" He asked as he straightened up.
"Harry Potter?" I smirked and fell into the couch.
"I thought you'd say that." He chuckled and switched on Harry Potter before he fell onto the couch next to me.
We sat and watched Harry Potter until past midnight before I finally fell asleep on the couch. I felt how he got off of the couch and scooped me up into his arms and carried me to bed. He pulled the covers over me and placed a kiss on my temple before he walked to the door and went to the spare room.
