We were standing in a row at the airport, along with the other classmates, waiting for our flight to go to Paris. Caspian and I were first in the row and the guard checked our passports and paperwork before he allowed us to get onto the plane. Caspian and I went to find our seats and made ourselves comfortable as the rest of the classmates slowly started to come in and take their seats.
"I can't believe we are finally going to Paris." I heard Lisa tell Terry behind us.
"Neither can I." I admitted, looking over my chair at Terry and Lisa.
I fell back into my seat when the flight attendant came and explained us everything. When we finally took off, I rested back into my chair and stared out of the window. We flew for a few hours, well honestly I didn't know how long, because I had fallen asleep.
"Becca, wake up!" I was shaken awake by Caspian, "We are about to land "
I sat up straight in my seat and stared out of the window. The first thing that caught my eye was the Eiffel Tower. The sight was beautiful. It was breath-taking!
When the plane landed, Caspian and I were the first to get off. The tour guide waited at the end of the steps for the whole class.
"Welcome to Paris France." He greeted kindly and extended his hand for each of us to shake.
"I will be your tour guide for the day and show you all to your 'ostels. Show you around the city so you don't get lost." He said in a pure French accent.
When the whole class was out of the airplane he indicated us to follow him, "This way everyone."
The tour around the city was tiring, but there was so much to see. All the modest shops and the cafés, the fashion was to die for and everyone was lively and kind. It was like entering a Disney Movie.**********
"Isn't this place wonderful?" Lisa asked as she laid on the second bed in the room. Lisa and I shared a room in the hostels.
"I have to agree with you there, Lisa. It truly is a wonderful place." I replied as I packed my clothes into the cupboard, leaving space for Lisa's clothes.
"The romance in this city is enough to make a non-believer puke." Lisa laughed as she stared at the ceiling.
I laughed and fell onto my bed, "Luckily we aren't non-believers, now are we? Speaking of which, when are you going to tell Terry?"
"Tell him what?" Lisa sat up straight and gave me a confused look.
I propped my cheek onto my fist and laid on my side. I faced her, "That you like him. I've seen the way you look at him."
"I don't like him." She tried to deny it.
I grinned knowingly, "Keep telling yourself that."
Lisa cuddled a pillow on her lap while she looked at me, "Oh, alright. I like Terry Bloom, but he doesn't share the feelings, atleast not in that way."
"Have you ever asked him?" I asked curiously.
"Well, no, but-" She started, but I cut her off.
"No buts, Lisa. I read on the planner that on the last day of the vacation, there will be a gala. You can tell him how you feel then. It is the perfect opportunity." I insisted.
Lisa buried her face in the pillow. I chuckled at how cute she looked. She lifted her head and threw me with the pillow.
"What if he doesn't return the feelings, Becca?" Lisa asked worringly.
"No one who has ever seen you two together can doubt his affections." I quoted from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
"If Mr Bloom truly loves me, nothing can keep us apart." Lisa joined in and quoted yet another line.
I laughed and threw her pillow back to her. She caught it and fell, cross-legged, onto her bed before she laid on her back. We both stared at each other and couldn't stop laughing.**********
"Becca, meet me in the courtyard in 10 minutes. I will be waiting." I heard Caspian's voice before the line went dead.
I stared at his caller ID in confusement, however, I got dressed in comfortable, yet stylish, clothes. I tip-toed out of the room and silently made my way out of the hostel.
Caspian was standing in the middle of the courtyard in a pair of black skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. He heard me approaching him and turned to me, pulling me into his chest.
"Why did you ask me to come?" I asked after we backed up.
"I want to show you something." He said and grabbed my hand, leading me to a theatre.
"Caspian, would you please tell me what is going on. If the lady at the hostel finds out that I am missing, I will be sent home before I can say mon ami." I came to a halt and pulled him back.
"Just trust me, Becca. You will love it." He said and pecked my cheek before we proceeded to the entrance.
"Tickets please?" The guard at the entrance asked.
Caspian reached into his pocket and fished out two tickets and handed it over to the guard. The guard examined it thoroughly before he stepped aside and allowed us inside.
Caspian took my hand and led me down the corridor into the theatre. The lights were dimmed and the stage was decorated in different coloured lights and faint music was playing in the background.
We took our seats in the front and Caspian placed his hand on my thigh and gave it a squeeze. The music became louder and the main lights went out, leaving the stage the centre of attention with its dazzling lights.
A group of teenagers walked onto the stage, each in the same costumes and performed a wonderful dance.
