The Test part 2

We all wore our P.E clothes and went outside for the test. I was nervous I was going to fail the test. To my surprise the test was about basic stuff like sprints, high jumps, throwing balls up into the air and all that good stuff. Nejiro lied to me and came to watch. I blasted through the events leaving the person I was going against in my dust.

I was feeling pretty good about this, I only had two more events to clear. The 150 meter sprint and the long throw. I heard Nejiro rooting for me. Making some of the boys glare at me… again. It was time for the 150 meter sprint. As unlucky as I was, I was going against Ida. He is super fast so I doubt I’ll beat him.

Even if I do use his quirk, he would still be faster than me. Well it’s better to try than to not try at all. I crouch down into my running position. I could feel the tubes on the back of Ida’s thigh grow into mine. “Ready… set… GO!” I ran as fast as I could right on his tail. Then I started to surpass his speed.

It was too late. Ida took first place and I tumbled to the ground. I could hear some of the boys laughing. I wanted to punch them but I couldn’t. It would take off some points. “Hey, Asahi!” Ida called me. I turned around to face him. “You did a good job matching my speed. That’s a powerful quirk you got there.”

“Thanks” I replied with satisfaction. “Asahi-kun you alright?” Nejiro asked me in my mind. “Yeah, I’m alright, Nejiro-chan” I responded. I watched how the races were going until someone poked me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw Nejiro-chan. “How are things going Asahi-kun?” he asked.

“Why are you here?” I asked “If Aizawa-sensei saw you, he’ll kill me!” She put a finger to her mouth and ordered “I’m not here I’m still in the spectators seat. This is just an illusion of me made by your brain cells.”

“That makes no sense Nejire-chan. The again does my quirk even make sense.” She didn’t answer. I looked up and saw Izuki getting ready for the long throw. He’s been failing without using his quirk. Then again his quirk puts him at a great risk, I shouldn’t try to copy it. The risk might be fatal.

He was getting ready to throw the ball until Aizwa-sensei stopped him. He gave him a good ol pep talk about his quirks and how it’s super dangerous. He seemed to me nervous after the pep talk. Come on, Izuki! You can do it.

I believe in you. Izuki threw the ball as hard as he could. I noticed that one of his fingers was broken. That quirk of his is a true double-edged sword. Unlike my quirk. Next up was me. I had to throw this ball hard. I heard Nejire-chan cheering for me…. Out loud. The boys were glaring at me.

The time will come until they start shipping us. What would they call us though? Nejihi? Ashre? Well let’s hope they don’t. I felt the ball with my hand. The soft texture was overwhelming. Whoever made this ball did a good job, nice. I didn’t have a quirk that could be used for this challenge.

I’ll just wing this. I took a deep breath and threw the ball as hard as I could. It looked like a good throw from me. It finally stopped. It was an average throw compared to the other ones. I sat down exhausted. “Hey, Asahi. How are you already ‘friends’ with Nejire?” The boys all asked me.

“We’re just childhood friends, that’s all” I told them. Some of them pushed on to get more intel of her. Just like always all the boys like her. “Alright class I made the results you can look if you passed. Everyone crowded to see what they got. I looked for my name and saw it. I passed.
