" This year I'm really staying up all night " Your voice rang out through your small apartment as you set the small box of lights down. Connor looked up at you as he held a box in the doorway.

" This year I'm finally gonna do it right " You hummed low as you took out a string of red lights. Holding them to your face you smiled.

" This year I got a flawless plan that just can't fail dear god I hope it does not fail " "Detective what...are you singing?" You looked up at the andriod, your cheeks aluminated by the soft glow of the lights. The small LED on his temple flashed yellow as you gently set the lights down.

"Oh an old song from when I was little, i didn't get to celebrate growing up but it was always my favorite song." Grabbing the box from Connor your fingers brushed against his. Your cheeks dusted pink as you quickly walked away with the box.

"This year will now become a legend and fairytale," You set the box down and lifted a small ornament out, your eyes scanning over it as you softly started to sing again, "I'm finally catching Santa Claus tonight."

Connor tried to busy himself with unpacking the lights and tree, but he keeps coming back to you. He liked watching you sing, and the holidays seemed to make everyone happier. Hank even seemed to be in a better mood. The precinct was throwing a party later tonight but you were also having dinner at home with hank and Connor, A family tradition you had with hank. Connor wasn't sure what exactly you seemed to enjoy about Christmas though. Every time you changed your answer.

((LAST WEEK))

"Detective, what is it you enjoy about Christmas?" You looked up from the paperwork on your desk. Connor sat on the edge of your desk, his eyes glancing around the prescinct watching as fellow officers put up hand made snowflakes and small decorations. Gavin hung a chain of red and green tinsel around RK900's neck with a chuckle.

"Hm...probably the food!" You smiled cheekily before standing up. You kissed him on the cheek before walking towards hank to help him get the tree through the door.

"OI OLD MAN WAIT YOULL THROW YOUR BACK OUT!"

"IM NOT THAT FUCKING OLD (y/n)" Though yelling you both smiled and got the tree in. Connor watched quietly blushing.

Software instability

((TWO DAYS LATER))

"Hey (N/N), what do you even like about this damn holiday? I mean we never did it growing up." Gavin raised his beer at you, you shake your head gently. Shrugging he set the drink down as Connor slid into the seat next to you. He wasn't supposed to be in here ((Human bar)) but after flashing your badge they let him in.

"Ah well you know, I always like getting things." You winked at giving with a chuckle. He rolled his eyes as he waved the bartender over.

"Whatever you say tiny." You laughed and punched his shoulder

"Whatever Hoe Hoe Hoe."

"(Y/N)! LANGUAGE." You both laughed as he wrapped an arm around your shoulder.

((YESTERDAY))

"Hey be a doll and fetch me my beer." Hank waved you off as you stood up from his couch. You rolled your eyes with a smile at Connor as you went to the kitchen. Hank stared at you before turning to Connor.

"So kid, you ask her out yet?" Connor blinked confused. He tilted his head to the side as he looked between hank an the kitchen.

"I don't know what you mean hank?" Hank sighed as he ran a hand through his graying hair, staring at Connor he leaned forward.
