Are you insane like me?

Been in pain like me?

"Don't fight me. Im doing this because I care." His words stung as he caressed your bloody blue cheek. He wiped the tears away from your eyes with a bitter smile. "Your so pretty when you cry..."

Bought a hundred dollar bottle of champagne like me?

You set the bottle in front of him quietly, hoping it was right and that he wouldn't get mad at you. You forced a gentle smile.

Just to pour that motherfucker down the drain like me?

Roughly he shoved it off the table, anger burning inside his dull eyes. He turned to you and shoved your head down.

Would you use your water bill to dry the stain like me?

Swallowing you quickly went to work sopping up the spilled alcohol. He grunted and turned back to the small tv in front of him. A feeling of hatred started to build up inside of you.

Are you high enough without the Mary Jane like me?

"Come over here princess, sit with me." He smiled at you lovingly. It wasn't new, he would get high and think you were his old wife.

You didn't want it to end like last time.

Do you tear yourself apart to entertain like me?

Sitting on his lap you stared down at your legs, burned and cut up. The few times you went to get repaired by his 'friend' another scar was added to the collection. And for what? Did he enjoy doing this?

Did you deserve this?

Do the people whisper 'bout you on the train like me?

You slid onto the train and moved to the back, people watching you as you silently moved. Pausing in front of the android part of the tarin you stared at each of there faces.

Slaves held hostage. Treated as toys to play with until they get old and something better comes along.

Saying that you shouldn't waste your pretty face like me?

"Hey cute stuff, why don't you sit by me~ Leave those machines alone and come talk with a real man." a voice called out to you. You stared at the man with disgust.

If he knew you were one of them...he wouldn't be saying that.

They would all be forcing you back, forcing you into your place. Handcuffed and made to serve.

And all the people say

You can't wake up, this is not a dream

You stared at the ground as the train slowly moved along, the man already lost interest when you didn't come over. The dark city passed by you through the dirty window. Ads for new androids, huge billboards playing the news about the recent rise in android cases.

There came a burden with your freedom. You had nowhere to go until you found Jericho. You could be yourself there.

You were free.

You're part of a machine, you are not a human being

"Connor? are you ok?" Hank gently touched his shoulder, worry in his old eyes. Connor shook himself away from the older man.

He quietly walked into the bathroom.

With your face all made up, living on a screen
