Epilogue

(Third Person's POV)

It hasn't been that long since Liam and Louis went to jail. In fact it's only been about 3 years which means there was no way in hell Louis would be getting out of jail early, only serving about a fourth of his sentence.

Melina, Niall, and Harry have been doing okay, it has been hard though. They all go to therapy and Niall has to take medication for his new found anxiety. There were huge tough spots for Harry and Melina, them both having to deal with the memories of being raped and watching someone getting raped. 

Melina was still trying to gather enough money to not only pay for all the medical bills and food and every other essential, but she was still trying to get enough money so that she could finally move to Africa and get her career started. Though what she didn't know was tht Harry had a surprise for her. Scratch that. A huge surprise. 

"Harry? Niall?" she called out. It appeared that no one was home.

'Maybe Harry took Niall out for a little while to the park' her mind spoke. She shrugged her shoulders and sighed, walking to the kitchen she set her bag down on the island and opened the fridge to get a bottle of water. Melina heard footsteps from behind her and she instantly froze, though was made her relax was the scent of peppermint.

'Harry' she thought.

Melina turned around to be met with a smiling Harry and a blushing Niall behind him. It amazed her how he still smelt like mint after so many years, she never bought him that scent. It also amazed her that whenever something big was going to happen that Niall still found a way to blush after everything that's happened. It's a good sign, he can still feel.

"Harry what's going on?" she laughed.

"Oh it's nothing, just do me a favor. Close your eyes and hold out your hand." he smiled brightly. She did as she was told and closed her eyes and stuck out her hands. Something light with a paper feel was placed in her hands. 

"Open your eyes love." 

When Melina opened her eyes and looked down her vision was still fuzzy, so she blinked a couple times and waited till everything was clear. When she was finally able to see properly and looked down at her hands again she thought she was dreaming, She grasped the paper and brought it closer to her face to read, and she was right.

Plane tickets to Africa. 

Her eyes widened and she covered her mouth with her other hand to keep herself from screaming. "H-Harry. what, what are these?"

"What do they look like love?" he chuckled.

"They look like plane tickets to Africa."

"That's what they are! Three tickets to Africa for all three of us!"

Melina shook her head and looked up at Harry, the tears spilled over and she jumped into Harry's arms and started weeping. "I'm hoping those are happy tears."

"They are! But, how did you afford these? Harry you don't have a job and Niall only works part-time!" 

"Well... what you don't know is that I got a job with hours so that I leave after you but come home before you do. So that's how I got this money, Niall and I put our money together for 3 years and bam!" 

Melina grabbed Harry's face and brought his lips to hers in a passionate and loving kiss, yet again making Niall feel like a third wheel and like he didn't belong there. After the couple separated Melina went over to Niall and brought him into a tight hug and kissed his cheek, making his face flush. He never got over the affection she gave him.

"Wait, how are we supposed to fly out there without a house to live in? We have to have somewhere to stay." 

"Well, I don't know. The flight isn't for a couple months so if all three of us put our money together and look for a cheap but nice place then we will be all set!"

Nothing could get better than this, their lives were perfect, and it stayed that way.

Over the next couple of months, all three of them worked major over time. Harry and Niall went into full time working and expanded their availability. Melina's boss, Mr. Banks, finally started leaving alone after she snapped and yelled at him about her past and what she went through.

Jenny and Melina grew closer and jenny had a new found interest in Niall, and it seemed to Harry and Melina that he liked her back. It was only a matter of time before they started dating, but what would happen when they moved?

Well, it was after they flew to Africa and got settled was when it happened. Only 3 weeks after they moved Jenny called Melina and told her the news but she told her to keep it a secret.

And that's what Melina did, she kept it a secret for a whole 2 months and when it happened, Niall was the happiest human on the planet. Jenny had saved her money and went to Africa to surprise Niall and the rest of the gang. Now Niall could finally be truly happy and have a real meaningful relationship with someone he cares about and who cares about him.

Melina and Harry started their own family about 3 years after they relocated and soon enough there was a mini Harry and mini Melina added to the family. 

Their lives may not have been perfect, but they were perfectly okay with that now knowing this was what they got after having shit lives for a couple years. 

This is what life is, it has ups and downs, some bigger than others. Life is also survival of the fittest. If you couldn't handle what was handed to you then you may as well leave, and clearly this bunch was able to handle what they were given.

Never give up. Things always get better no matter how bleak things look at the time.
