Jacks POV

"~What's that lit-tle speck in your eye?

One by one

You all will die.~"

I sit straight up at an impeccable speed.  I can feel a sheen of sweat on my face as I pant.  What kind of dream was that?  I was in a meadow, surrounded by bright yellow flowers.  I remember I noticed a honey bee fly by, but it was entirely black, which was out of the norm for a yellow and black striped insect.  It was then, I heard that creepy song.  The voice was unidentifiable, I couldn't even tell if it was a man or a woman.  But as it was being sung, the bee would land on a flower, and it would immediately wither.  It did this, as the song continued:

"~Gasping, crying

Heard all around

Lying 6 feet under ground.~"

I stood there motionless, watching the flowers die, as the song made its last verse:

"~Stan-ding there

So help-less-ly

Watching my

Death Sym-pho-ny."

And that's when I woke up, for all the flowers have died.

I take the time to look around me.  I'm in a warm room, with a fire lit in a fireplace across from me.  It looks as though I'm in a cabin.  I see fur rugs hung on the walls and on the floor.  I'm wrapped in a bunch of wool blankets.  I can tell from the windows that it's still dark outside, so how long have I been out?  My train of thought is derailed as I smell something miraculous.  I really hate these mortal necessities.

"Oh, you're finally up." I hear a voice.  I look in its direction to see (f/n) come around the corner with two mugs in her hands.  She has a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, as if she actually needs it. She sits down on the edge of the bed.

She notices my confusion, "You passed out about 2 hours ago, so I brought you to this abandoned cabin."  I noticed a small glint in her eye as she said 'abandoned cabin', but I brushed it off.

"T-Thanks, I guess." I stutter, breaking eye contact.  I hear her sigh.

"Well, I figured I'd make you some tea," she finally said after a few moments of silence. "It was all I could find, but your skin was turning cold and blue.  I needed to warm you up somehow."

I nod and mutter a thank you as I took the mug.  Tasting it wasn't too bad, but I'm more of a hot chocolate or coffee kind of person.

"You look kind of sick, are you ok?" She asks, probably noticing the sweat beaded on my forehead.

"Yeah, I'm fine.  Just a strange dream." I reply vaguely.  I still don't know how much I can trust her.

"Hm, want to talk about it?"

"No." I reply a little too quickly, which takes her off guard.  She stands up, and retreats out of the room, leaving me by myself.

I decide to take the time to ponder what my dream could've meant.  My main question was who was singing?  I try and try to remember if anyone was with me in the dream, but my result is no.

About an hour passes after I choose to sleep once more, until I'm waking to (f/n) gently shaking.

"Hey, I've been thinking alot about what's happened recently," She starts off saying.

"I really think you should go back to the house, that girl."  I look at her, but I'm listening.

She sighs, and continues, "I've got a feeling that they're somehow connected to this all in someway, especially the girl Maysie, because doesn't her name ring a bell?"

I furrow my eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

She rolls her eyes in frustration, "Maysie literally sounds like the title of your extermination plan, Project MAY-C?"  She stresses 'MAY-C' when it finally hit me.  I do a mental face-palm, how on earth did I miss that?

"I think you should go along with the plan and see how it goes," She explains. "I think you being in danger has definitely lessened now that we know that something's up, you know?"

I look away in thought.  She is making sense, and it seems like a logical thing to do.

"But, what about my mortality?" I ask.  She hits me in the arm.

"Idiot!" She seethes. "You've got bigger problems right now, like I don't know, your life!"  I sheepishly smile and rub my head.

"Fine, I think you're right." I answer seriously.

"Great, then let's start now!"

She flies me back to the edge of the forest.  After she sets me down, I wave as I walk back to the house.

Once I reach there, I notice that the kitchen window is open. I smile, and decide to peep in (not in a creepy way, you pervs).

My smile quickly faded as I say Maysie, humming.  Humming the same tune as the song in my head.

"~One by one

You all will die.~"
