Your POV
"You're harder to kill than I thought," Jack growls at the tall being. There's an odd essence coming from Pitch that's different from our last encounter. It's hard to describe but it's off.
"That's because you can't kill me, Jack! Be realistic!" Pitch hisses through his teeth.
North and the others get in their stance, ready to fight if needed. Jack stands back, pointing his staff directly at Pitch.
Jack narrows his eyes and grips the wooden staff tighter, "Why not? I've done it before in this world."
Pitch smirks, "Jack, you simpleton. You need bad to have good, can't you see?"
The air is silent as we wait for him to continue.
"What's good without bad? It would have no label," Pitch starts to pace the air above us on dark clouds of black sand. "You have nothing to compare it to, good would just be ordinary and it's essence and existence would immediately diminish. Without me, you'd all die. You wouldn't be recognized for the things you do if I were gone. I accept to be the villain, but no one else knows except for us. People accept my nightmares, and then yet appreciate Sandy's dreams. We'd be knocked out of order." Pitch stops and looks at us, eyeing each of us with his golden eyes. "And even going deeper into what I'm trying to get across, there's really no such thing as 'good' dreams. There is always a bit of what humans call the Seven Deadly Sins. What people are tempted towards, what they think is good, involves lust, greed, envy, sloth, pride, gluttony, or wrath in some form. So, tell me again, is there such a thing as a 'good' dream?"
Not a soul replies, not even a draft from the window dares blow through the thick air. I feel sweat starting to bead on my forehead. Pitch looks frustrated at our silence.
"Haven't you all noticed?" He opens his arms towards us, observing our faces. "People have stopped noticing you. They don't need you anymore. Without me, you're nothing. Point being, we need eachother to be noticed for what we do."
We all just stand there, unsure of what to say. He's completely right. We can't argue against that at all. How could we have been so blind?
"H-He's right," I whisper to myself. Jack whips his head around back at me, looking desperate.
"(f/n), you can't ever believe a word he says," He tries to explain. "He does nothing but lie."
"Jack," North says with a low voice. "We've got nothing else to say, he's right."
Jack looks desperately at the other Guardians, looking hopeless as they relax from their fighting stances.
"How could you guys give up so easily?" Jack yells at the group. "Don't you remember what he tried doing to us? He tried to kill us as well!"
"Tsk, tsk, Jack," Pitch pretends to look hurt. "I only felt unappreciative. No one accepted me for who I am and what I was made to do, I was cast out for something out of my control. Such a humanlike trait."
I look over at North with concern, "What do we do now?"
He sighs, "Just what we do best and let him go."
Jack grips the sides of his head, growling in anger, "You've gone mad!"
"Oi, enough, Jack," Bunny says with a sigh. "We've lived in harmony once before, and we have no choice but to do it again."
Pitch's POV
Even after what I just told them, Jack still defies me even though I'm right. I'm through with this petty drama, I haven't lied once about what I told them.
