Jacks POV

I wake up on my back in a star position.  My head is pounding.

I groan as I regain my senses.  I clench my hands into fists.  I sit up and hold my head.

"Ugh, what happened?" I rub my head in attempt to appease the constant pounding.

"Jack?" I hear a voice.  I turn my head to see (f/n) floating above me.

"(f/n)?! Are we..are we back home?" I ask in high hopes that the answer is yes.

She smiles back at me, "Yes, Jack. We're home."

Your POV

Jack smiles, probably the first genuine smile I've seen in so long.  I can't help but smile too.

I've decided not to tell anybody about the truth of my previous, uh, breakdown.  I tried killing Jack, but there's more to that. I really believe I still love Jack, but I'm not sure about the other way around.  I'm too scared to ask.

*FLASHBACK*

I walk away from Jack, tears rolling down my face. This isn't me, I'm not the one doing this!  My mind is with me, but my body is against me.  I'm weak, the Power isn't even going to me.  There's a parasite lurking somewhere.

I'm forced to walk for miles, I'm almost convinced I'm going to walk the whole circumfrance of the Earth.  The tears never stop.  I raise my hand to wipe my tears off of my eyes.  I feel something small and gritty, like a rock.

I furrow my eyebrows and stare down at my finger.

Resting among a streak of wiped tears, is something small, and black.  My body starts trembling in anger.  I know what this is.

Black sand.

So that's where Jack's Power was going.  As long as there's black sand, a little bit of Pitch still remains.  He's going to use the Power to resurrect himself in a physical form.

I won't let this happen.  This time, Pitch will fall.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

It was as if it's all happening in slow motion.  I look into Jack's eyes as he comes towards me.

At first, I was admiring them, they're blue again.  But something too familiar caught my own eye.

"Jack, what's that little speck in your eye?" I ask, slightly trembling in fear.

Jack's whole body tenses up, as if he's remembering something horrific.

"Wh-What did you ask me?" Jack asks, eyes wide in terror.

Jacks POV

"Jack, what's the little speck in your eye?" (F/n) asks me.  I tense up as that terrible tune plays loudly inside my head.

"Wh-What did you ask me?" I hope to God it was just a coincidence.

"There, in the corner of your eye." She comes closer to inspect my right eye up close.  Her own eyes widen.

"Jack, we've got to get you to the Pole right now."

"But-"

"No, Jack.  Please just listen for once!" She snaps at me.  She grips my arm and we're gone in an instant.

We reappear in front of North's Workshop.  She spares no time and drags me inside.

She kicks open the big red doors to have 4 pairs of wide eyes staring at us.

"Jack?! (f/n)?! Where on earth have you been?!" North bellows, causing Tooth to cover her ears. I've never seen North's face look as red as his coat.

He stomps up to us, making me a bit scared of what he's about to do.

He's breathing heavy and he looks so angry.  But, tears well up in his eyes.

"We've been worried sick," He whispers and pulls us into a large bear hug.

(F/n) giggles, "Sorry, North."

I laugh too.

North puts us down and tries to regain his composure, "Now then, it's good to see you two again."

(f/n) pipes up, "North, it really is nice to see you, but something terrible is happening. Again."

I raise my eyebrows when she says 'again'.  North's face is blank, "Hurry, come inside."

We're rushed inside with his large arm.  I don't know what's going on, is it something to do with what's in my eye?

"Right eye," (f/n) instructs.  North pulls me over to him in an impressive speed and uses his fingers to pry my eyelids open.

"Well, this is unsettling," Bunny comments.

"Quick, we need Manny's moon beams," North explains.

"Uh, in case you haven't noticed, it's still daytime." Tooth says with a hint of sarcasm.

"We haven't much time, who knows how long it's been there-" The entire room shrouds in darkness.  It's happening again.

A loud laughter fills the air.

"It's nice to be back," A whisper flies by us.

Pitch has returned.

A/N

Okay so this kind of sucks.  I've decided to make this the last chapter.  I don't know how many parts there'll be but this story has definitely run it's course.  I'm gonna make this a good one though, but thanks for everyone who has stuck with me through my negligence and laziness.  I'm really appreciative of everyone.  I appreciate you, who have voted.  You, who have commented.  You, who have followed me and added this story to their libraries.  Thank you all so much, and hopefully you'll still come with me through the rest of this.  I truly wouldn't have done it without any of you, so thank you. (:
