It's Your Quirk. (Shoto todoroki x Reader)

Chapter 16 - Obstacle course.

The class was gathered in a room waiting for the competition to start.

We couldn't wear our hero costumes which kind of sucked but was understandable

The only thing that I'm worried about is that this uniform it not fireproof.

"Everyone get your game faces on. We are entering the arena soon" Iida yelled.

"Midoryia." I looked over to see Todoroki.

"Hey Todoroki. What's up?" Izuku asked.

"From an objective standpoint. I think that it's fairly clear that I'm stronger then you."

Wow that was kind of rude.

"Uh -- um, yeah." Izuku studdered.

"However, you've got All Might in your corner, helping you out."

I tensed. Shit How the hell does he know that.

"I'm not hear to pry on what's going on between you two. But know that I will beat you. We are not hear to make friends. Don't forget. This isn't a team effort." Todoroki finished

I stood up. "Todoroki. If All might is in Izuku's corner. Then wouldn't that mean that he is also in my corner." I asked.

He stopped for a second but then started walking out of the room.

"Tch asshole couldn't even answer my question." I muttered.

We were walking through a tunnel. Walking though the opening I looked up to see a whole stadium filled with people.

My heart started to race. I'll be okay. All I need to do is not fall.

"Silence everyone. For the student pledge. We have Katsuki Bakugo."

Whose idea was it to have him do the pledge.

"I just wanna say. I'm gonna win." Bakugo said.

I groaned. Why does he have to be in our class?

The first game of the festival was an obstacle race.

We got ready to start. I whispered "good luck" to Izuku and he nodded while saying "you too" back.

"Begin"

While everyone was tramping each other. I levitated myself above the crowd and flew as fast as I could to the other side. Someone noticed and grabbed my foot. I turned and kicked them away from me.

I suddenly felt very cold. I looked around to see many of the others were frozen. My feet were not affected by the attack since I was in the air.

"Apologies" Todoroki said while running ahead of everyone else.

Oh no you don't.

Once out of the tunnel. I created explosions to sent myself flying.

I was slightly behind Todoroki and Mineta.

Until suddenly Mineta got attack by a robot. Those are the same as the entrance exam.

I noticed one was in front of Izuku so I used telekinesis to grab it and throw it away from him. Now there were three huge robots in front of everyone.

I notice Todoroki put his hand on the floor. Ice surrounding him. He swung his hand at the robots. Causing all of them to become froze.

Wait they are going to fall.

"Be careful now. I froze them while they were off their balance. On purpose." Todoroki said without any emotion in his voice.

I avoided all of the debris. Continuing the race. That was a very smart move. I was slightly ahead of Todoroki.

I noticed a bunch of dead grass. I levitated it to me created my fire which was a bright orange. (Emotion: Determination)

I made the dead grass catch on fire. Then dropped it a few feet ahead of where he would be.

This didn't work as well as I wanted it too cause he just created a piler of ice above the fire and created a ramp to get back to the ground on the opposite side of the flames.

So basically my attack was pointless.

He was a couple of steps ahead of me. I pretty sure that he has a fire quirk along with his ice. So why is he not using it?

I growled. That means that he is only using half of his power. But he is still beating me.

I noticed Bakugo behind me. Oh wow that is just great. Just what I needed.

I turned back around to see that Todoroki stopped. I see signs that say Minefield. Since Todoroki stopped I was now ahead of him. Okay I need to push myself harder. I can win this. Todoroki and Bakugo started to fight while dodging the mines.

Idiots do they not notice that I'm ahead of them.

*Kaboom*

What was that? I looked behind me to see a huge cloud of pink smoke and Izuku flying through the air.

Wow brother you never cease to amazing me. I hope that he at least gets top five. What am I doing I need to focus on me.

I was in first place. I could see the finish line. I pushed myself creating more sparks. My hands were starting to burn. I can't think about that now.

I turned around seeing Izuku slamming the piece of metal he was riding on onto the ground next to Bakugo and Todoroki causing Izuku to be in second. I fell on to the ground.

Shit please not now. Izuku grabbed my hand and started to pull me towards the finish line. "Come on we can make it." He urged me.

"Izuku I want you to be first." I said holding back tears from the pain.

"(Y/N) are you sure." He asked

"Yes. You really do deserve it." I confirmed.

Izuku was first. I was second. And Todoroki was third.

I was on the ground. Looking at my slightly burnt hands.

"Here" I looked up to see Todoroki with a few large ice cubs he created.

"Let me know if you need anymore." He said handing them to me while turning around and walking away.

"Thank you." I half whimpered half yelled.

"(Y/N) are you okay." Izuku asked.

"Yeah. I guess we both have self destructive quirks." I said while laughing hiding my pain behind a large smile.

*Todoroki Pov*
I looked to see where (Y/N) was. For some reason she interested me. She is quiet strong.

I also know for a fact that she let Izuku go in front of her.

I spotted her. I noticed that she was sitting on the ground and her hand were slightly burnt. Did she push herself that hard? Now she is in pain.

I created ice cubs and walked to her and gave them to her. "Here" I muttered. I continued "Let me know if you need anymore." I said walking away.

"Thank you." I hear her say with pain in her voice. I felt my chest tighten. Why do I care about her?

I turned back around to see Izuku and (Y/N) talking. She smiled but I could see the pain in her eyes.
