I'll be Alright

I'll be alright.
I've been through this.
I know what comes next.
I know what to do now.

So I'll be alright.
I'll stop right now.
I'll stop myself before it happens.
I won't get attatched.

I won't fall for your smile,
Nor your laughter.
I won't fall for your light,
Nor with you.

I'll stop.
I'll stop before it gets worse;
Before it gets complicated,
Before the emotions bloom.

I just need to stop
Before the waves drown me
into grief and regret,
And lose myself again.

Pained with this familiar feeling,
Tears threaten to overflow.
But don't worry,
I'll be alright.
