Walls Up High
╚ ════ ≪ °❈° ≫ ════╝
I look down on my map,
wondering if I'm on the right town,
or maybe my friend just wrote some crap
because tall walls were only found.Just before I left, I look over my shoulder
and have spotted a tiny hole.
So I check it out, inching closer,
looking at what's beyond the wall.I couldn't believe what I saw.
It was like a whole other world.
I keep gazing, still in awe.
My mind in a whirl.Although with a welcoming tone,
I scrunch my face as I realize:
on the other side, there is no one,
as to my surprise. So I decide to inspect these walls,
searching for an entrance,
when a voice from above calls.
I look up in askance."What brings you here?"
He questions with a smile so wide.
He was so sincere;
like he was the very aura from the other side."How do I get over the wall?"
"Did you simply read your map wrong?"
And that makes me recall
my friend I haven't seen in so long."I'm sure it leads to this town,"
I say as I wave the map.
His face lit up as he jumps down,
as if he knows who wrote this crap."So you're a friend of his!"
He suddenly announces without doubt.
Then I realize who he is.
"You're the one my friend was talking about!"Then we begin to talk,
finally getting to know each other
When I've gotten tired to walk,
I say that I'd love to chat again together. And every time I drop by,
he'd always have his wide smile,
greeting me along with hi's,
then we would talk for a while. And as always,
our chat was filled with fun.
Even if we hadn't talked for days,
it was as if time didn't run.But some times I wonder,
why he has never let me in.
But I don't even bother,
because all I need is his grin. And when out chat ends,
we share a hug before leaving,
waiting for another chance to spend
some time together, laughing. On my way back as usual,
I remember his cheeriness.
Just him being casual:
his typical liveliness. Then comes a thought so insane,
or maybe just my mind being weird overall.
But would he be the same
behind those towering walls?≫ ──── ≪•◦ ❈ ◦•≫ ──── ≪
