I never believed in love at first sight
but with just one look at you,
my heart was set alight
and there's nothing I could do.
With your smile as bright as day,
you wave at me in a bliss.
I walk up to you and say, "Hey,"
hoping my feelings aren't obvious to notice.
Still up at 2 am,
we share our stories comfortably.
The kind that most would usually condemn.
The feelings we fail to show others honestly.
I'll be here for you
when things are hard to bear,
And you'll be there for me too
when I lose to despair.
Oh, how I wish these were true.
Sadly, instead of decent conversations,
or mutual friends, even if it's just a few,
life placed us in awkward situations.
The reality is,
whenever we cross paths,
I wish things will happen like these,
with no embarrassing aftermaths.
Who knew I'd be dreaming of nonsense
in the middle of the night?
This is the consequence
for loving you at first sight.
