( Just before we start, I know that this isn't UF Undyne, but UT Undyne, and that's totally normal, don't worry!)
They went back to the place where they confronted Undyne, and she was still there with Papyrus. Taking a closer look, he seemed disapointed, almost sad to be there. And when you think about it, it was obvious he didn't want to come here in the first place, but he wasn't given the choice: he was only vice-captain, meaning that Undyne, currently the captain of the royal guard, had every powers over him. If the king decided to stop them, then not only Undyne couldn't disobey him, but would gladly follow his orders. Papyrus didn't have a choice, even if he disliked it. Sans carefully got closer to them, Red by his side. And of course, both guards saw them. "There you are, Punk! And the traitor is with you! Having such a luck should be illegal! Oh well, who am I to complain? Let's get to the point." She summoned numerous spears around them all. "Here's the deal : you two come with me without resisting, and you will have a painless death. Or at least I'll try, but no promises. So? What do you say?" "Undyne, please, don't do this. I know how much of a good monster you can be when you want. We don't want to fight, we just want to reach the barrier." "What a coincidence! That's what soldier Papyrus wanted as well, right? He told us, no , begged us, to let you pass, that you weren't a threat at all. Ha! Of course you are! You perverted his mind with your words! Now, he's nothing more than a trembling sheep! I don't know what your goal is, but I'll prevent you from reaching it!" She shouted at the trio. Then they went into battle.
She threw spears at them or paralyzed Sans and tried to kill him, but Red was there to protect him, deflecting Undyne's attacks with his own. Papyrus, him, 'fought' against them. In reality, he always missed his attacks. While they were 'fighting', Undyne kept shouting at them. "You want us all dead, don't you? You're plotting against the King, you deserve to die for that!" "That's not that! I just want to free you all! I don't plan on manipulating anyone! Come on Undyne, you know I'm telling you the truth! You're the captain of the royal guard! Aren't you supposed to protect the weaker and the innocent? Where's your honor?!" Sans almost shouted the next part. It made Undyne froze for a few seconds, before she snarled loudly and paralyzed him again and pierced his soul with a spear. "You don't know what you're talking about. I hope I taught you a good lesson : in this world, honnor doesn't exist." She said sternly, with something akin to sadness. As Red gently grabbed him and his HP dropped, Sans realized that Undyne did believe in the ideal of honor. 'I know that deep down, you still have that sense of honor Undyne. And you can count on me for reminding you. I won't give up on you.' *Sound of a soul shattering*
GAME OVER
LOADING...
They came back again in front of the statue, together this time. "This wasn't the smartest thing ta say, Sweetheart. She loathes when you talk about honor and all that stuff." "Because she still has one, right?" "...How did ya guess?" "She could have killed us at any moment. She didn't even had to fight us that way, she could have kill us like...like Toriel did." "And like I did..." "Red...That's not what I meant, you know it." "...Sorry... I know, but...I still can't forgive myself for that." Sans gently grabbed Red's hands. "It'll come, with time. Trust me." Red smiled softly at this, tightening his grip on Sans' hands. "I do." "Ahem, I don't want to interrupt you and all, but we still have a fish to 'convince'." "Yes, you're right. Let's go."
Once again they faced Undyne, but before Undyne could react, Sans talked first from where he was, still on Red's back. "Undyne. Before you do anything, please listen to me. I know that you are a monster of honor. You may don't know or deny it, but it's there, laying there within your soul. I suppose that why you entered the guard in the first place. but I guess that you quickly realized that it was incompatible with your ideals. You had to hardened yourself to not get swallowed by this world. But you can still follow your ideals, by doing what's right. Asgore may have chained you, this world may have disapoint you, you can still do what's right. You can still be yourself. You hate this world and it's principles? Then go against it! Scream at the top of your lungs! As long as you're yourself, everything would be worth it. Don't let violence and rage blind you, please." Everyone stayed silent during Sans' speech. Yet it didn't mean no one thought about it. Undyne remained silent, her gaze lost in the distance, then she spoke harshly, yet without venom or rage. "How do you know it? How can you be so sure I still got the sense of honor?" Sans smiled gently at here. "For a simple fact : I'm still alive right now. You could have killed me countless times, but you didn't. You listened to me. I know I was right to not give up on you." "CAPTAIN..." They all turned their heads to Papyrus, who looked at Undyne with sincerity and some innocence they all thought had disapeared a long time ago. "PLEASE. LET THEM GO. THEY ONLY WANT TO HELP US. AND YOU SAW IT AS WELL : THEY'RE HARMLESS. AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE COOPERATIVE, THEN..." Papyrus went into a battle stance. "...What are you going to do? Fight me?" "DON'T BE RIDICULOUS. WE BOTH KNOW YOU'RE WAY STRONGER THAN ME. I DON'T INTEND TO FIGHT, BUT TO AT LEAST BUY THEM SOME TIME." He then turned his head toward his older brother. "YOU HAVE WASTED ENOUGH TIME AS IT IS, THOUGH I'M HAPPY YOU FOUND SOMEONE YOU CAN RELY ON AND TRUST COMPLETELY. TAKE CARE OF HIM AND LEAD HIM AWAY FROM THIS PLACE." "...Alright, but be sure I'll come back for ya, and if ya're dead, I'll fucking kill ya, got it?" Papyrus smiled softly, "OF COURSE BROTHER."
"You won't need it." Undyne let go of her weapon, looking resigned and...relieved? "You won. You can go ahead and reached for Hotlands. But, be sure that if you cause any problems, I'll tore you into little shreds, understand?" She told them with her shark-like grin. "Ya got it. Noyw, let's go before things go fishy." "SANS!!!!!" Both Papyrus and Undyne screamed, while Sans chuckled and Flowey sighed, tiredly. "Do you want to come with us Undyne? We'll go to see Dr Alphys." Undyne froze a moment, turning her face away so none of them could see her blush spreading on her cheeks. "N-no, go on without me. But...can you tell her I said hi?" Sans groaned. "Don't tell me you're still at the 'weather talk' step?!" "If you don't hurry now, you and I will be at the 'killing' step." Before Sans could argue, Red quickly ran out of her sight."Don't need to tell me that twice!" "Reeeeeeeeeeed!!!!!!! Slooooooooooooow dooooooown!!!" And with that, they were gone. "...I hope we made the right choice." "WE DID CAPTAIN." "You know that he won't forgive us, right?" "I KNOW." "You're such a rebel sometimes." "I KNOW." "But...to be honest, I don't think that me intervening would have change anything. Even though he tried to not let it transpire, he looked like he was dying." "...I KNOW..." Papyrus looked at the exit of Waterfall. 'SANS...HURRY...'
