It was some sort of...stand? With pastries on it? Of course, Sans knew it may be dangerous, especially in his current state, but he couldn't help but being curious. He wobbled to the stand, then collapsed before it. He cursed his disabilty under his breath. That was so annoying, and that was an understatement. As he looked at it, he noticed that the pasties lokked incredibly good, and the smell they spread almost made him drool. But upon looking at their price, Sans' eyes widen and he gulped. 'They're even more ewpensive than my Muffet's sweetes!' . He got out some money from his pocket and take a look : it was all he still have, and that was not a lot. There was a sign just next to the stand. Surprisingly, it was exactly the same as the one in his Universe. In front of the sign a small spider was standing still, looking at him. The spider was of a particular color, for it was purple. Was it waiting to see what he would do? Does it think that he would steal some pastries? He was hungry, yes, but he wasn't a thief. "Here, " he said to the small spider, putting all the money he had in front of it, "That's all I have, but that's already something, right? And I think that you and the others need it much more than I do." The spider kept looking at him, before it bounced a little. Sans smiled softly, before deciding to get back to his rock. Maybe the others had finished with their argument now. 'I hope so...'
Meanwhile...
Red was sitting on a rock, giving his back to Flowey. He was mad. REALLY mad. But also...he felt a pang of sadness tugging at his soul. He...he hasn't intended to say that to Sans, to hurt Sans like this. He had promised himself to never do that to him. Yet here he was, with Sans away. Why was he still there? Why didn't he go after Sans to apologize right away? Because of some foolish pride? Not entirely. He had his faults, true, but it wasn't entirely his fault. he knew that Sans met Flowey first, that he came from a different world, where regular violence doesn't have it's place, and that it was thanks to Flowey that Sans was still alive. He could easily admit this. What he was fed of, was that each time something went wrong, Flowey always accused him. ALWAYS. Yes, he made mistakes, but just like everyone. Was it because he didn't forgave Red for what happened when he and Sans met? Red didn't know. But it was driving him crazy. "Are you happy with yourself? Now Sans is away, all because -." "STOP. RIGHT. THERE." Flowey gulped loudly, in a display of fear. "Is it so hard to admit that ya have a part of responsability in this? To accept that I'm not alway wrong? That things are out of my hands, sometimes? Yes, I hurt Sans, I already know this. But ya need more than one people ta start an argument." Red turned, a hurt expression on his face. "Look, ya don't trust me, I get it. It hurts a lot, because since I'm with you two, all I did was trying ta protect the both of ya, nothing else, and yet ya don't trust me. But I get it, okay? What I don't get is why it's always my fault with you." Red hesitated a little, before talking again, but in a hushed tone this time. "Is it before you feel like you failed both Chara and Frisk?" Flowey shot up at that, anger flashing on his face. "Shut up!! It wasn't my fault! I never asked Chara to protect me against my father and lose their life! I never asked my mother to avenge me and becoming crazy in the process! I never asked Frisk to swap their place with Sans' and making him suffer like this! And I never asked Sans to free monsterkind and sacrificing his life in the process!!" Flowey was tearing up at this point. "But you!! You didn't stop Sans! You didn't try to persuade him to do otherwise! You encouraged him to do that!" "And ya think it would have changed something?! You know Sans as much as I do, and we both know that when he has an idea in mind, he would never gave it up! So what? Ya would have prefered me trying ta stop him, risking the fact that he would have left without a word ta do this journey on his own?! Don't ya think it's better this way, because at least we're here ta help him, support him?" Red was standing at this point, small tears rolling down his cheeks. "Do ya think that I'm happy like this? Watching him losing his strenght before my eyes?! Do ya believe I don't think that he might die?! Don't ya think that it scares me, to think that Sans may lose his life at the end of the road??!!" Both were panting, tears flowing freely. "It tears me apart, but...but I try ta enjoy all those moments we have together. To think about all those happy memories. And...And I know that we can still save him. I know it. But ta do that, we need to stick together." Red knelt in front of Flowey, "I don't say that we should fully trust each other, but I just ask ya ta believe in me ta protect Sans, ta help him. That's all I ask. Please,"
"O-okay. *Snif*, I'm...I'm so-sorry for the ac-ccusations..." Red wiped his tears, then offered a small smile to Flowey. "Thank ya. Now, let's try ta find Sans. Okay?" "Yes, let's go." Flowey slithered back to Red's shoulder, as the latter went to where Sans wobbled. H walked a few minutes, before finding him, sitting on a rock, looking in the distance. Relief washed over Red. He wasn't hurt, he was alright! "Sansy!" Sans turned to him, surprise evident on his features. Red hesitated, suddely remembering what he said earlier. Regrets filled him immediately, as he hang his head slowly, fiddling his fingers together. "Sans, I-I...I'm sorry...For-for what I told ya... I wasn't...I wasn't believing what I said, but... I didn't want ta hurt ya, yet I did...I-I have no excuses, and I understand if ya're still mad at me. I would still be. But...I am truly sorry." Small red tears crashed on the floor, slowly. But they weren't the only ones. Blue tears came joining them as well. "It hurt...I t hu-hurt a-a lo-ot, you know?" Sans whispered, though it was loud enough for Red to hear, making him wince. "I-I'm sorry..." Sans brethed loudly, trying to settle his nerves. "An-and you're right, I should still be mad at you." Red closed his eyes upon hearing thos painful words, "But I'm not. Not anymore at least. I forgave you." Red's skull shot up, hope blossoming in his soul. "Hold on. You're forgiven, not forgotten. I am still a little bit mad at you." Yet Sans smiled timidly at him. "I understand, Sweetheart. I'll do anything ta make amend, I promise." "Weeell, you can maybe carry me again, then. I may have overdid it..." Red sighed fondly, then he picked Sans up, before kissing him. "Thank ya Sansy."
They went back walking, but now, their minds were at ease. Well, just a little. Sans could still feel those invisible eyes on him. And the more they walked, the more cobwebs appeared. It was unsettling. Suddenly, Res stopped, cursing loudly. "Red? What is it? Why did you stop?" "I'm stuck! It's all those damned cobwebs." "Ahuhuhuhuhuhu~" Both Red and Flowey froze at that moment. "No.No no nonononono....." Red was almost hyperventilating, shaking uncontrollably. "Red! Red what's wrong?"' "I don't want to die again, please, please, pleasepleaseplease!!!" Flowey was screming at this point. It didn''t quell Sans growing panic. "Guys! Guys come on! Get a hold of yourselves!!" "Well well, what do we have here~? Ah, some guests, how wonderfull~! Shall we welcome them, my precious~?" Sans didn't need to see to know who it was. "Muffet."
