Dear Nanny,

You taught me to forgive. I do. A little later than I should, but I do. I wear second chances on my sleeves and give them out like charity.

Sometimes, I get abused Nanny. Sometimes I get fooled. But I won't go back Nanny, I've rinsed away my grudges and scrubbed my arms clean.

Nanny, I've learnt even if you prepare for goodbyes right after you say hello, it'll still hurt when they go. Just when we think we can't break anymore, we can.

Humans are peculiar, Nanny. They love and then hurt and then break and yet continue to love again. They're confusing like happy tears and sad smiles. Aggressive love and passive growls. Playful insults and concealed hostility. They hate loudly and love quietly. They push you away and want you to pull them closer.

I don't understand them, Nanny, but I think I'm beginning to.
