Mistletoe : short story

*Both Marco and star aren't dating , all characters are 18+ and this is at a party *

" THE PARTY HAS ARRIVED BITCHES !!!" Star said as she and Marco entered Jackie's house for a Christmas party she was hosting . Star stepped in and made her way over to however she could talk to , while Marco stood at the door , apologizing " I'm so sorry were late Jackie , you know how girls are ? They take super long to get dressed ."
" look Marco , I know your the safe kid and all but your only like 2 hours late ."
" that's really late !!"
" Marco... when I mean come to my party at 9:00, no one comes at nine... literally everyone comes to the party like hours later , consider yourself early ."
" oh thank god im not late!" Marco said taking a sigh of relief.
" it's cool man !"

The party continues for a while . Everyone is feeling the mood and partying hard ! Like the beasts they are !

Janna  and Marco were at the punch table drinking punch and talking like the friends they are.

Marco nervously looked at his cup and looked back at janna " so.... when you gonna tell her ?"
" what ?"
" you know ? When you gonna tell Star you like her ?" Janna said as she had known Marco for years and knew about his crush on his best friend .

" uhhh...."
"Marco.... your in college now and Star could leave any time now to go back to mewni and become queen.... you do realize that you don't have forever to tell her, she's gonna have to leave at some point ." Janna said seriously as she knew Marco would regret it sooner or later .

"I know Janna but...can't I like not tell her, I mean I can tell her later or like... never..." Marco said nervously .
" dude , your gonna regret it sooner or later if you don't tell her." Janna said convincingly.

Marco looked over at Star , who was talking to Oskar and smiling and giggling at his jokes . She was one of those people to smile and laugh all the time , cause she was Star .

" Janna , she obviously likes Oskar. And besides what is she regrets me and doesn't want to be friends anymore."
" dude , you never know if you don't try , it's called taking risks . You only live once !"janna proved a strong point that not even Marco , an A+ student could agrue against .

Marco sighed in defect , ready to confront his best friend about his feelings .

" hey Star... you gotta minute ???" Marco said walking over to her with his hands in his jeans pockets .

Star turned away from her conversation she was in and faced her best friend with a smile " sure what's up ?" She said in a bubbly mood as usual.

The music in the back ground was playing loudly that not everything was clear that they heard .

" Star... I've had a crush on you for years now ." Marco said this but the music over his voice was louder . Star who was confused as ever asked " what ? You wanna eat pizza for breakfast ?!" Star asked shouting over the loud music .

" no , I meant to say... that I like you !" Marco shouted over the music yet Star  still couldn't hear him .

" hold on one sec , I literally can't hear a word your saying."
Just as Star finished her sentence the music suddenly stopped .

" hey look everyone !!!" Jackie said as she stood onto of a table pointing towards Star and Marco , Both of which we're confused as ever .

" these two lovebirds are under the mistletoe, so you know what that means ?" Jackie said with a smirk .

Both Star and Marco turned to the over joying starco shippers , who had been shipping them together for what felt like eternity but was only years .

Both Star and Marco looked up at the mistletoe they were standing under and blushed " no , no , were not doing that !" Star and Marco protested .

" Kiss , kiss , kiss , KISS , KISS , KISS !!!" The crowd chanted as it got louder and more people joined in .

Both Star and Marco turned to each other , star shrugged her shoulders and grabbed her best friend around the neck and tiptoed to reach his face and kiss him passionately.

The crowded cheered even more at their beloved starco moment .
" YAY !!"

Marco too deepened into the kiss , placing his hands on her waist until and wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer until their bodies were pressing against each other .

As they let go , the crowd didn't stop cheering and neither did star and Marcos hearts for the happiness and overjoyed feeling they had to have kissed their best friend and crush .

I think we can all say everyone at that party had a merry joy Christmas 🎄!!!
