14. Crossed The Line

It's been hours since they brought her in, Paparazzi is already waiting outside. Hunting for a story. "Her right lung was full with blood. They need to keep her unconscious." Walter goes out, walk straight to Reddington.

"What about the kid?"
"I got someone taking care of it."
"And?"
"The kid is save."
"Good." He looks down, "Morgan's dead, I couldn't do anything about it. If anything happened to Jade, I'll be damned."
"Walter it's not your fault. That man was armed. I also can't get a clean shot because Jade was on the way. We both can't possibly doing any better...."

"Raymond." Dembe rushes in and whisper something. "Are you positive?"
"Yes. They arrested her for The Motherboard project." Red looks at Walter and got an idea. "O'Brien, do you still have Morgan's research data? I need you to replicate it."
"Which one?"
"The touch DNA. I need it." He looks at Red like he's out of his mind. "Whoaa. No. You're not thinking what I'm thinking right? That she's also your daughter?"
"Dembe. Gives us some times." Dembe left the room, giving Red and Walter as much privacy that they need.

"Hear me out. Are you aware that with the motherboard still in her brain, if something happens to Morgan, it will trigger a protocol."
"To release the data? Yes I'm familiar with that."
"Right. By the time I received a picture of Morgan's dead body, none of those data came out. None."
"Maybe it was broken? Or being extracted."
"That's what I was thinking. Not until Jade got shot hours ago. Right after that, a leak came out. Not all, but a leak. Also, have you forgotten that I just gave my blood for her?"
"You're suggesting that Jade is Morgan? But the other body? It was Morgan."
"No, it might looks like her. But the one in this hospital is her."
"Who is the other Morgan then?"
"I don't know for sure. She's the only one who can tell. But my guess? Jade Emerson..... Josephine."
"I'm in."
"Good. Dembe, you need to stay here. Keep her safe, call Baz if you need."
"Maybe I would call Cabe on our way. He could be help."

"You're finished Toby?"
"Yep. Even when I'm lack of sleep because of the kid. I'm still a genius."
"Alright. Thanks Toby. Send my words to Happy and Toby Jr."
"I will... I will. By the way, why on earth Mr. Reddington needs that? Weren't you telling me Morgan is dead?"
"We have suspicion."
"Okay. Give me a call about that then."
"Alright." Toby left, making just Walter and Reddington in the garage.

"I'm gonna be blunt. No one knows these research more than Morgan. No one EVER try this tech except her. So I can't guarantee you it would be an easy tap. Because her brain works and stimulated like no others. But I can assure you my replica will work."
"Understood. I'll hold tightly. But how do I know when I got it?"
"Electric shock. Like a low voltage electric current."
"Okay. We should go..." Walter stops him, "Hey.... If she's really Morgan. We can't lose her again."

St. Peter Hospital, 04.00

"She's still in heavy medication Raymond."
"Alright. Baz, Agent Gallo. You two could leave."
"You haven't explain all of these Walt. Call me."
"I will Cabe, later."

Reddington enter the room with Walter watching from the window glass. The look of weakness could be seen in his eyes as he lift her hand and hold it with his hand, waiting for the shock that he expected. "Oh god..." Within seconds he drop the hand and holding the edge of her bed. He looks into Walter's eyes and tears are coming from those eyes. Reddington quickly leave the room and close the door. "I was right."
"Oh god! That's great.." They both takes a deep breath, and Reddington hug Walter and Dembe just like they're his kids. "Thank you... O'Brien. We're not gonna losing her again. I promised you this. I'm gonna find whoever after her." He let go of the hug and put his hat on his head. "Where do you go?"
"Fulfill my promise O'Brien. You need to keep her that way, it's more important that only your team and me know about who she is. I'll do the rest."

Walter keep holding her hand, he still can't believe it was Morgan. Why did she do it and how, it's all still a blank page. There are so much question for her but he knows he can't ask some. Because he needs to keep Morgan as Jade. To keep her safe. He looks at a wide tattoo on her wrist, realizing that it was a cover up for her burn mark. He couldn't understand considering she could change her face, why won't she erase that mark? Maybe she can but she just won't. So she cover that up instead. And then he thinks about the other Morgan, if she was in fact the real Jade, why would she agreed to switch places? Because Jade had literally everything. A glamorous life, promising career. What agreement did they had? But none of those questions that he can ask to the woman in front of him.

You haven't explain a thing about those shootings Walt. You need to tell me.

A text message from Cabe that he yet can't reply. He feel bad about lying to him, but he can't tell the truth to his own team.

No Cabe, nothing groundbreaking. Reddington and I only discovered that Jade had a connection. They grew up together. We thought whoever after Morgan will after Jade too.

He read the message again but then feel the needs to tell him about her. So he erase it and composing a new one

He hit send and then notices her fingers are moving, like trying to hold back to his hand. "Hey, Jade?" Her hand is weak but he knows she tries to close her fist. "Jade? Can you hear me?" And then suddenly her whole body is shaking. "Oh god!" Walter quickly ask for the doctor and a couple of nurses also brought in. It seems like she's having a seizure. From the window glass, he saw them giving her an injection to calm her seizure. It was scary to see her whole body jolting like something just attack her brain function. He get his phone and make a call.

"Raymond. She's having a seizure. I don't know what happened."
