Klaus Mikaelson was confused. Not because something befuddled him, but because he wasn't sure what to feel. His mother, Esther Mikaelson, a powerful witch, commonly referred to as the 'Original Witch', was only one, capable of killing him and his siblings. She made them into what they were, and she could easily unmake them. Things were different now, he didn't care about his life, as strange as that may sound, if others heard him thinking that, they'd probably think he was abducted by aliens. No, he was concerned for the safety of his children. Who Esther, no doubt, would see as abominations to nature. Coffin, that contained her body, went missing, he assumed it was Stefan's doing, he regretted not killing him back then. Now how to break the news to the family.

Soon everyone was gathered in the hall, sitting on the chairs, looking expectingly at Niklaus.

"Where's Adrien?" asked Nik, when he noticed the absence of his youngest son.

"He uh... he's with Tyler," awkwardly trailed off Alex. Not a single Mikaelson liked the Lockwood boy, considering the fact that he was screwing their nephew on daily basis, Rebekah was most supportive, while, as strange as it sounds, Kol, most protective. "He should be here though... I called him and told him it's an emergency."

Alex didn't get to finish what he wanted to say, when in a whoosh disheveled Adrien, with messy hair and swollen lips appeared in the room.

"What's up, guys? Alex said it's an emergency," he plopped down on the couch, ignoring his uncle's disapproving look. Like he cared what Elijah thought, that traitor was plotting to kill his dad.

"As you know, Esther Mikaelson, created the immortality spell, turning us into Originals. Logically thinking, she can also undo our immortality," started Niklaus gaining everyone's attention.

"I so don't want to listen to another of your paranoid rants," spat Rebekah, standing to get up.

"Someone stole her coffin, where her body used to lay preserved. A knowledgable witch could resurrect her no problem. It's not just my paranoia little sister, it's a real threat to our family, to your nephews."

"No offense, Dad," started Adrien, turning everyone's eyes towards him. "I don't want to sound cocky or self-confident, but there's literally nothing she can do to hurt me. I mean that and if she by some miracle kills any of you, I'll simply bring you back to life," shrugged Adrien not at least intimidated by some mortal witch.

"Not that I don't believe you nephew, but Esther has a lot of experience," told him, Elijah.

"Perhaps, but if she dares to do something, to hurt any of us, well... I'll simply express my displeasure," smirked Adrien, causing Kol's eyes to widen like saucers, catching on what his nephew meant.

"You can't mean that Adrien?" asked Kol, horrified by the prospect of his nephew tapping into that energy.

"What is he speaking about, Kol?" asked Rebekah, oblivious to magical terms.
