The girl shook with her fist raised, her other fist clenched on the collar of the man tied to the chair. She panted heavily, trying to control herself as she felt all eyes on her.
The man she held was near death, his head swollen, his eyes as well, his arm snapped, his fingers almost all missing, his ribs crushed, and his legs basically useless.
"That's enough, my pet."
The assassin let go of the man and he gasped heavily. "Anything to say, Mr Dearing?" The leader asked as he approached next to the girl, who glanced up at him. Mr Dearing panted and let out a chuckle.
"Got to hell."
The leader clenched his jaw. "Kill him, it seems harming him is useless." He ordered and the assassin pushed him out of the way, and soon the attempt of Dearing trying to get his screams to be heard failed as the assassin silenced him and his pleas for help.
And the adrenaline hit her hard as bloods poured over her hands and with all this happening, she almost forgot this man once loved her.
Almost.
