Teal Seabren stepped out from behind the wall, a sheepish grin on his face. His tousled red hair hung loosely on his face, his green eyes bright. "Hey, Mar." He smiled.
"Ditching, innit? To talk to my girl?" Marissa cocked her hip, raising an eyebrow at the redhead. He nodded, blushing.
"You already know who Juliet is, don't you, Romeo?" He nodded again.
"Kati Lopéz. I mean, she's the only one you hang out with. And she's the only Lopéz in the grade below us. She's... She's gorgeous, Mar."
Marissa groaned. "If you want to make a love story, at least make it a good one. Now get back to class! Unless you want to end up like me! Go, stupid boy!"
Teal laughed, waving goodbye to Marissa and blowing an air-kiss for the absent Kati. He smiled, thinking of "princess".
She's the cutest thing in the world.
