Percy and Nico have been together for 9 months, and they've never been happier. The two teenagers are proud of who they are, and they wouldn't give it up for anything. Percy is especially looking forward to his 17th birthday, in which a mark will show up on his body as permanent proof that he and Nico are meant for each other. However, when the mark indicates that his best friend Annabeth is his soulmate, not his beloved boyfriend, will he be able to hide it from Nico to keep the relationship going? And what will happen on Nico's birthday? Can the two keep their relationship together even despite Aphrodite's Wrath?

Howdy pals! I'm not sure how far into this I'll get, but I think this'll be fun. For some clarification:

- Percy and Nico are the same age in this book
- in this version of the soulmates au, on your 17th birthday, a small symbol appears somewhere on your skin. The symbol is a hint towards who your soulmate is.
- everyone follows the soulmate rule; it's just what's done
- failure to follow said soulmate rule, no matter how rare it is, results in punishment of the highest degree
- this is all common knowledge for people
